I owned my V6 since Nov 2009 and I was looking forward to upgrade my ride with a stronger car.

I went through all the SRT8 range. Reached sky high up to Porsche and Audi, until a friend of mine stopped me with a word (Are you leaving us behind?).

I just realized what would I left behind by trading my Camaro.

It is nearly 5 years of good company with Camaro5 members. What a loss that can never be compensated. How would I start my day without feeling that I'm part of this family !!

For this reason that can never be bought with gold or money, I ordered my 2014 2SS/RS Camaro minutes ago.

Willing to live with it, with all its highs and lows, just to stay with you guys !!

Camaro Love never dies
This is probably the dumbest thing I've read on this forum in a long time. Let me get this straight...you can afford a Porsche but decided to live with a camaro because of a damn online forum?! Sounds like someone needs to make actual friends...unplug and buy a Porsche. You're frigging nuts.

Camaro5 is the best car forum. I read it all the time and no longer have a camaro in the stable. I am going to get a camaro again but am gona wait for the refresh and see what's happening with gen 6. I'm never selling my current car though. Love it. Volt commuter and Camaro weekend warrior sounds like a plan. I've had both a 2012 2SS vert and a 2011 LT and both cars were very nice.

That's what I thought. Had my 2010 2LT since Feb 2010, was a great car but when I saw this I had to trade.

Marketers love your ritualistic buying habit.

Don't worry though, I'm the same way. Congrats on the SS!!!

The OP has likely made a lot of friends (few years here), as I have, by meeting up, dyno days, local clubs, etc and showing up in a different car afterwards just wouldn't be the same anymore. Good friends are worth keeping once found.

A camaro might be a fun car, but a Porsche it will never be. The idea of keeping a car because of an online forum is ridiculous, and quite frankly it seem pretty immature. I just think a lot of people here put way too much stock in their car...like the one guy who claimed a camaro was nearly ruined because it got snow on it.

To each his own I suppose...but to the OP I say...get control of yourself and get a reality check. It's just an online forum. I'm guessing most people would happily buy a Porsche over a camaro any day of the week. You can't even compare the two.

If you want to take it from this side, how many people own Porsches? and how many people own Camaros? who are the owners of both cars.

The truth is I personally worked hard to make a living and I was brought up this way so I dont find myself in that Beverly Hills lookalike community.

Money can lend you friends until its gone man and you will not find someone to give you a lift later.

Camaro5 gave me real friends whom we shared good times together. If its good then make it last longer

That is the point exactly.

Buying another car means that I lost the connection. Moreover, for god sake people still turn their heads when they see a Camaro ...

I was stopped one day by a Porsche owner who told me what is this car that you are driving .. it looks very nice.

I wouldnt even think about doing the same to him, because Porsche always looked like a Porsche since I knew it was a Porsche.

The fact is there are many useful things that you can do in your life with that price tag and see everyone around you happy.
