I eat Stingrays for lunch!! ZR-1's are a different story but when I run into one I promise I'll make it run hard!
I'm with Deke on having a C7-Z06 beside the ZL-1. I actually already wrote a check to my dealer here so got dibs one the first one in this area. As soon as specs came out I went overthere, they are gonna be badass!!!!

Stock for stock the C7 will beat the ZL1 in performance. I was at the Detroit Auto Show and got a chance to the see the ZO6 and it's simply awesome. I also got to sit in the regular C7's (regular and comp seats) and the interior is light years better than the Camaro. My only complaint was it's somewhat cramped but maybe because I'm used to the more spacious Camaro interior.

Basically, I know the C7 will out perform the ZL1 stock for stock. I'm more interested in C7 with long tubes, intake tune VS. ZL1 with headers, intake, pulley and tune. Judging by the replies in this thread, it sounds like the ZL1 configured like this would outrun a C7 with long tubes, intake and tune. |

many people are running north of 14psi just fine but 14 would be very safe from what I have seen. that would save some coin as you can get there with 1 pulley. there are three ways to pulley if you want big power in my mind staying in the safe blower RPM band. 1. 2.4 upper ~15psi 2. 10" lower I think ~15psi 3. 8.6 lower 2.55 upper ~17psi. I don't have any of these yet so double check me this is just reading charts no real world. my car is 11.5-13.8 through the band right now. headers and CAI will mess with the boost a tad too. Cai can add some but headers might drop it some.

Also, is it safe to rev this engine to 6500 rpm or so with a pulley swap? I've seen dynographs go past the stock 6200 rpm redline once the car was tuned. |

Ive run a best time of 11.168 @ 123.24 mph. I have cai, LTs, 2.55 upper pulley and injectors. Have also done hx. My car is an auto and I run DRs. It should run in the high 10s if the air temp ever goes down here in FL!

That's a great time, I bet at Atco, that would of been a 10 second pass with an extra mph or two. What is your rev limiter set at? I don't think a C7 with Long Tubes, intake and tune will be running that fast.

My trans is set to shift around 6100 rpm I believe and limiter is at 6500. Matt from FSP does all my work and is installing a Yank torque converter in a week or two. Should get me solidly into the 10s by then.

This might be a stupid question, but why not set the car to shift at 6500 rpm? Power doesn't drop off, looking at the dynographs that I've seen. Wouldn't it be beneficial to wind out the gears a little longer since it continues making power up top?

Re: mods
Perhaps this chart from LPE will help.
This past Saturday I ran an 11.6 @ 124.6 on stock tires. probably ~13-14 lbs. boost. When I add lower pulley the supercharger will be just about maxed out.

Thanks for the chart, that DEFINITELY comes in handy! That's an awesome time and FANTASTIC trap speed! Manual or automatic?
