Filters aren't mounted directly on the turbos. They are on 45 degrees bends angled up. Yes I agree with care, but people are making it a much bigger issue than it is. It would
take some really stupid driving to cause issues IMO. Mylftft, Until Blake gets on a real dyno yes. I fully believe he is making 1100+ but he needs to get it on a dynojet that will hold the tires to see. I believe Lethal is the first >376ci car and manual. That car should easily go 1100+ if it has the fuel/etc to hold it. I know the AGP shop car is getting a 416 LME motor but it is the same 6l90 as you so it will be limited by the transmission to ~1000rwhp.

Dynapack would guarantee no slip, or DynoDynamics would be able to hold it ok.
I do agree it would take some foolishness and floods for it to be an issue though. I dont think water spray alone would ever be a major concern, as although the air inlets are low, to a degree they are in a fairly sheltered location from spray. |

Pictures of my car might be messing with peoples minds, my filters are directly on the turbos.

They do have various units and the hub units can be upgraded too. Ive had the torque warning myself years ago and had to run in 5th. A year or two later after they upgraded the units ( software upgrade only which was surprising...albeit a bloody expensive software change ) it had no issues in 4th.
I think that was around the 800lbft level, although not sure whether the DP quoted ratings are hub torque or engine torque. I presume it is hub torque as the 3000 unit seems rated to 2250lbft, and my engine certainly wasnt making that. The "4000" upgrade rated to 4000lbft worked fine. Which probably makes sense, as with the gearing I used then that would place a max engine torque of 1126lbft or so, and I was lower than that |

They have the 4000 upgrade and it still errors out. Made 1026 or something in 5th but on low boost the difference was over 100rwhp between 4th and 5th so who knows what it would do in 4th if it could read that high.

We'll never know what the 377ci would have made. It is in the process of coming out and a 388 6 bolt is going in. We will see what 7500 rpms and 25# will make....

I'm just curious. What made you decide on doing a 388ci?

I stumbled upon a zero mile longblock with a 5th head bolt conversion, MID wet sleeves, pinned mains, studded throughout, LS7 topend that was purpose built for a twin turbo setup. It was literally too good of a deal to pass up.
I don't know yet. I'm going to get one speced for the combo. Last edited by blake-b; 03-06-2014 at 01:38 PM. Reason: Didn't have my facts straight! |

That'll be badass! I would love to hear, drive & feel that kinda rpm in my car! I used to drive my Dads 69 with a big block & 2 stages of nitrous that I spun up to 7500, left on the brake at 6 grand & lifted the wheels. RPM makes driving alot more fun!
