on the ZL1, the area behind the stock gold bowtie isn't open. I suppose you could fix that easily with a die grinder then add the "flowtie".

GM knows folks will buy this item to upgrade their vehicles. GM will make a killing on these things forever.

Ford thought the same thing and removed the entire grill...

This isn't a gimmick. There's a huge bowtie on these Camaros. It fills the grille. That's going to change the way air flows. There are real changes to airflow by changing the bowtie.

And they just noticed this? What about all that windtunnel work they did for the ZL1? For sure they would have seen this major drag device.

I'd want one of these for the sole reason it isn't as gaudy as the stock one. Having the "flowtie" may not add any true benefit to our ZL1s except pulling off all the gold on the car...I'm ok with that.

This is getting really funny. First it was "fly car logic", can't wait to see how it works when I try to jump the Grand Canyon and now the Flow Tie thing. Can't wait to see what they say next to try to make us think that a Z/28 is worth $75'000.

Yep and I'm sure some will do it, then post they "can feel the difference." lol

Exactly. This would definitely help more than the flowtie and imo looks pretty cool.

I guess the less than 4 second spread between the z/28 and ZL1 around the Nurburgring has GM a little panicked. How can they justify the $20k premium for the Z/28?

They screwed up the price. Price should be less than the flagship ZL1.

I hear if you activate fly car logic and and the flow tie at the same time the car actually transforms into a hover craft!

It's gimmicky because they are naming this crap with names that seem to be created at an elementary school.

I'd rather gm say "through engineering we've been able to cool the oil temp 2 degrees" rather than "we cut an ugly piece of plastic out and it happened to work"

Sometimes it's better to state the result rather than what you did.

And if this is what they are talking about they may be running short on things that are actually intriguing.

This is silly, if this crap was being released by ford we would all be laughing.

I have a 2012 ZL1. It has a larger Grill area than the small squashed down Z28 version. Flowtie not needed.
