i have a 79 camaro with a pretty much stock 400 s.b. i have an edelbrock performer intake edelbrock 650 carb headers and im going to be installing a cam the cam is a LUNATI 10001LK SBC HYD 280/290 .443/.465 112/107 CAM & LIFTERS. that i just bought. it has the really crappy heads on it like 642 casting or something like that. I just know i want new ones maybe vortecs? any tips and what rear end gearing should i use? i want to have decent top speed and good off the line speed. im on kind of a tight budget as well so keep that in mind. any help would be awesome

Sorry I don't know the answer but this site is more for the 5th gen Camaro. You can try the 2nd gen. section if you scroll down. You may get an answer but try a more specific site for the 79camaro to get tech.
