Storytime, kiddos... back in the day, as a teen I was driving a Cutlass. The shape of the headlights was very similar to police car headlights of the time.

One night, I saw my buddy--- Gene Gene the Smokin' Machine, he was known as--- bombing down the highway doing about 80 MPH, and I thought it might be fun to play a joke on him. I got right up on his rear bumper, and I put a MagLite up in my windshield... a weak attempt to look like a cop's "pull- the- hell- over" light.

Moments later, I started seeing stuff being tossed out the window. Small items, packages, bundles... both sides of the car, over and over and over. I didn't really think it over, just thought it was strange.

After a couple of miles of that odd sight, Gene finally pulled over and stopped. I approached the car, with my light shining in his eyes. He had two other fellas in the car, and all three looked scared to death.

However, when I lowered my light for the big "reveal," and Gene saw that it was just me, and not a cop... well, all three of those guys were so happy that I was not a cop that they just laughed themselves silly. And, lucky for me, they were also so stoned that they did not make the connection that if I had NOT been playing f%&#around, they would not have thrown all of their dope out on the highway.

They were just happy. That's all. But... that was the last time I ever tried that stunt! (yeah, yeah, I drive a yellow Camaro... have at it!)

this is off another article posted today

The latest person to fall victim to police impersonators was robbed of $120 earlier this week off Highway 43 and Old Lawrenceburg Highway in Maury County.

The victim, who didn’t want to be identified, told Nashville’s News Channel 5, “I see this guy, and he has a gun pointed at me. He told me he’s an undercover cop.”

Probably a stupid idea and not worth the risk, but if that happened, you could say that your wallet (or a different valuable) is in the truck and that you will pop the trunk for him. Then when he goes back there, floor it. Or go in reverse if you're an angry person.
