Last night was king of the streets at Palm Beach International Raceway. Pretty great turnout, drift circuit as well as 1/4 mile races. Unfortunately did not run my car, (first time watching cars at the track, a bit intimidated to run the car after seeing what was there). Definitely regret it tho. Certainly not the worst car there (time wise) by any means. People putting down 17-19 in 1/4 (civics, honda fit, few mazdas, accord v6 running 16.8's).. I'm fairly confident i could put down a 14-15 second pass (one would hope)...

Anyways, in the king of streets race, i am happy to report a ZL1 made it to the final four and was actually the third fastest car there. Final four came down to the Zl1, CTS-V, and two twin turbo 5.0's. In the end, the CTS-V put down a 10.73 (best run of the night). The ZL1 put down a 10.53 (best run of the night). The on 5.0 put down a 9.96 while the other 5.0 was just absolutely ridiculous. The best time the winning 5.0 put down was a 8.30 at 164.87. Insane to watch... Saw a few cars from Camaro 5 there but with all the chaos was unable to find the drivers. If you were there or are in south florida, let me know! would love to get involved a little more at these kind of events.

Just figured id share what a nice friday night it was. Burning rubber, blow off valves, superchargers whine and low 60's in south florida. My kinda night!

Sounded like the place to be! I really don't like Turbochargers on muscle cars because of the sound!

You have your work done at redline right?? I guess I didn't see the 10.43 run.. Pretty sure I saw every run tho. Maybe not.. Congrats man, sick run... The mustang was a bit insane

Bro we have been trying to figure that out since we switched to the DRs the car has lost a ton of mph! Figured we would pick up alot more from the DRs but i have been dead hooking with the DRs! But still very weird!!! but still running 10.4s if i let it cool and 10.5s hot lapping!

Yes i did! It was first pass of the day against the GTO in the first round of qualifying. Yeah both not leagal tho.. The red one running 9s didn't have a cage and the 8 second one didn't have a parachute LOL!

camarovigao, your car is awesome. Thanks for the time you gave answering my questions. Your GF call had me drooling too. She should have won a trophy and you should have been in the final. I was confused what was happening there at the end. Never seen track jockey 3 different cars to the starting line. It should have stayed both mustangs first just like it was.

No problem buddy it was great talking to you! She won Best of Show! Yeah they didn't know what was going at the end.. Thats never happened to me before! Especially at an event!

Yeah it was very unorganized. but overall it was definitely a good time. didnt see any SS run at all the whole night tho, i was a bit surprised.

Yeah it was great event and it is very hard of keeping track of all those cars! I have done it before and it HARD! There was an orange SS running earlier before the Q16 started going but he was just rinning TNT.
