Hee hee, my order jumped from 2 to 4 on the website tracker this morning and now says it's been shipped to the dealer (which I don't believe) but I should have a VIN. Waiting to hear from my salesman. I got the Monday car! OH SHIT!

LOL, I watched the documentary on the Oshawa plant that you posted in Becky' thread for the third time last night. I keep telling myself ...it's all robots, it's all robots. Then I see those workers slinging the wiring harnesses around, rushing to get the whole thing installed in 30 seconds and think about them coming off a week long furlough....yikes!

Mine says "Queued For Production" so not a Monday car

That video is great!! I'v watched it 4 times already..lol

Went to Bank of America today and got pre approved for 2.59% at 72 months. Going to try to use the pre approval letter to get a better rate from the dealer. The lady that helped me said she has a 2010 SS that she bought new and drives only in the summer. She said she started with a V6 and went back 3 days later and traded it for the SS..lol She said she loves it!!

Salesman confirms 4B00 "bayed" which I assume means "being sent out for stripes".

One of the plant workers told me that the striping is not done in the plant. So they must ship the cars to the striper and back. That takes time. I wouldn't be surprised to stay at 4B00 for a week.

Probably the same for the 1LE hood wrap too. Hope I get 4B00 status soon

I found this in a previous post about possible April incentives:
Dated : 03/30/13
'13 or '14 1LE...?

I want the best bang for the buck, the best handling muscle car for the least cash, so a '13 1LE would be the way to go now that the '14 Camaro refresh is out (better deals, right). Plus I see at Chevy.com that the '13 has 1,000 bucks cash back! Nice.

And

Last orders for the 13 model needs to be in by April 18/19 (can't remember which). The order info will be available for the 2014 just before that, but pricing will not be out until June ish. Start of production for the 14MY is July.

I ordered on 2/6. I originally got a TPW of 3/3, then 3/10, then 3/17. The car was finally made this Monday March 17. Note: I had a production status of 3000 during the TPW shifts. It wasn't until I was elevated to 3400 that the TPW became firm.

Also, the web tracker jumped from 2 to 4 overnight then was confirmed by my salesman with a production code of 4B00 "Bayed". We're guessing it will stay there until the stripes are applied which I am told doesn't happen in the plant. I'm hoping for delivery the last week of March but I have nothing to go on as far as when it will actually ship/arrive.

Oooo, I like that delivery date. Did you order any striping? What's your production code?

Got my loan quote today (non-GM): 1.6% up to 60 months.

I was only going to borrow half my difference then lend it to my son at my rate (he's screwed because of six figure debt going to law school) but now that I see this, I may borrow the whole enchilada and accelerate my mods.
