That is exactly how I have it layered and it has worked perfectly fine. I didn't know they advertised it that way because it doesn't last like a sealant in my experience.

How did you apply it? Hand or orbital? Foam or microfiber?
All of my wax/glaze/sealant jobs are done by hand via foam applicator pad. I spread it all over the entire car and then wipe it back off. I will warn you this stuff goes a very long way and it is very very pastey and if your not careful you will fill up all of the fibers on one side of you MM crazy pile lol... So just know a little goes a long way.

With Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant put on in two coats, and a coat of carnauba wax it lasts somewhere between 4-8 weeks for myself. Now this is extremely unique to each car as I'm sure you know. In my experience in the extreme summer months it seems to last a shorter time than even winter, but I have black paint which gets excruciatingly hot. So that is probably the culprit. Also, I simply start to notice a few more scratches every week I wash it after 4-6 weeks or so (again highly dependent on your circumstances) and it will continually dissipate after that point until it appears that it is completely gone. That is my own personal experience with it.

Edit: I will definately let you know how long it last now since I know an exact date I applied it.

Is this just for darker paint? Can I use it on RY?

I've used it on two white cars and it works just as good. The results are just less dramatic because obviously black shows the scratches much worse, but it effectively works the same in my opinion.

Ah my light I used for my pics was just my iphone flash lol. I don't have a horizontal mount for my LED light that I use when polishing on the sides of the car.

Question, I had my car opti coated in the summer. After this dreadful winter I noticed some light scratches from where ice slid off the paint. Would a glaze work on top of opti coat to cover up some light scratches?

I think you'll need more then glaze to correct your problem.

Just got done doing the Mustang, I already had the paint correct but the CG glaze did a great job making the paint even slicker then it was.....also, the smell of the glaze is awesome. I give it a .

I'm guessing it would work fine( a total guess because I've never used opticoat) but as previously stated if this glaze is not topped with a sealant of some sort it will probably not last all that long. Although if these scratches are heavy and/or deep this glaze will not completely fill them. It fills what I call small to medium scratches.
