I been checking different websites for prices and I was luck enough to find a website where the seats and harness from Sparco are 10% cheaper

http://speed-freaks.net

Found the Evo 2 seats for $720 instead of the usual $825. And the 6 point harness for $323. Instead of $360.

I'm still deciding if I will get the RPM roll cage
http://rpmrollbar.com

The Brey-Krause harness bar
http://www.mtiracing.com/brey-krause...en-camaro.html

Or the Speedware harness
http://www.speedwaremotorsports.com/...ess-bar?page=1

If I use any harness bar I will need tank plates to support the harness . If I use the roll cage I will need two seat belt kits that RPM sells.

The only trouble I see ahead of this project is the disabling of the air bags because of the removal of the front seats.

A 1k ohm resistor should be enough to trick the air bag computer into thinking the seat airbags are there and keep everything active.

Where could I get a resistor like that? And where do I connect it.

By the way thanks for the help

This would only help if you change the driver seat only. if you change the passenger seat you have to additionally emulate the weight sensor mat.

A 1k ohm resistor can be picked up at any Radio Shack or other electronics hobby shop. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8980 You would need to find the wiring diagram for the OEM seat and use the resistor to bridge the positive and negative terminals in the wiring harness.

As far as the pressure sensor goes, pressure sensors can work in a few different ways, but many work by simply changing their resistance depending on the amount of force provided. One thing you can try is picking up a few different kinds of resistors and connecting them to the harness and then check to see if the car thinks someone is in the seat or not (I assume there's some sort of indicator lamp somewhere to tell you whether or not the passenger airbag is activated).

Alternatively, you could carefully disassemble the OEM seat, find the OEM pressure sensor, and put it in the new seats running the leads out to the car's wiring harness.

Don't know specifically if that question was directed to me. But I'll be using the

Sparco Seat Base 600 series
Specifically made for the 5th Gen Camaro and are different from Driver to passenger side.

"Sparco Seat Bases utilize the factory seat mounts on your vehicle's floor and provide a flat surface for mounting your Sparco seat. All seat bases are vehicle specific and provide a 100% bolt-in installation.

The 600 Series Sparco seat base is constructed with 3/16" thick steel to provide a strong flex-free mount. In addition to the mouting holes provided for standard bolt-on installation, the Sparco base has a wide metal platform to allow custom mounting of side mounts direct to the base (drilling required). This direct installation is an option for race vehicles where the lowest seat position is desired. The base is powder coated in a black wrinkle finish. "

Sparco Side mount steel

"Sparco side mounts are used to mount competition seats. Side mounts have mutliple side holes that provide a customizable mounting position. "

And the Sparco Track set

"The track set also known as sliders are recommended for any seat application. The seat track set allows you to adjust the seat position. The seat tracks employ a double locking mechanisim for increased safety."

In order to properly install a Sparco seat in your vehicle, you will need one (1) of each of the following, per seat:

Bottom Mount Seat (Street Series Seats)
-Seat Base (600 series)
-Track Set (#00493)*
-Bottom Mount Hardware Kit (#50001)

Side Mount Seat (Competition Series Seats)
-Seat Base (600 series)
-Track Set (#00493)*
-Side Mount (steel #004902 or aluminum #600W)
-Side Mount Hardware Kit (#50002)

*The Track Set allows for forward and backward adjustment of the seat
