ordered on 7/17/09 at arnold chevrolet in west babylon at MSRP
Atlantic Chevrolet is charging 5k over msrp
ABM, black ralley stripes, 2SS, 6M

My dealership closed, and my car is being routed to Atlantic. :(

He said he wouldn't charge me over MSRP if I showed him my buyer's order, which I did. So my car should be here any day, hoping I don't get screwed.

My Baby is in..Finally. The car exceeds expectations..............and I really expected a lot.

I may be out on the Island Next Week on Saturday afternoon.......WEATHER PERMITTING. If anyone is around chime in, maybe we can meet at the Bellmore station or something.

Dale was Great. I am getting the same plates on my SS and they will Read "SS RS"

Vinny who did you deal with at Manfredi? They are really good over there they charged me MSRP too for my 2SSR/RS. I have been dealing with Bill for the past 14 years.

Yep Bill was the guy. Very nice guy. I priced the car at many different dealerships and some were looking for 3k over msrp. He charged me msrp and they are 5 blocks away from my house. Very easy to drop off for service. just can't wait for the car.

Bill is a stand up guy. Be prepared to wait for a while I ordered in April and I am still waiting. I have only seen 1 on the Island so far have you seen any?

I have only seen two, a black one and a yellow one. Other than that no others. Yeah I am hearing about the wait. Gonna stop by today and see if he can give me a realistic delivery time frame. 4 months is a long time, but considering GM closed down for two months I guess thats what can be done, He did say the GM is putting in a third shift to speed up production, hopefully its the truth.

I have already been waiting for 3 months. It was supposed to be 2 months but I have seen guys on here waitng 9 months. I am just trying to be patient. Did you order manual or automatic?

Saw Bill yesterday, said three months should all it would be since its a base LS, order stick. He also said hey are doing a third shift at the plant, not sure if thats true or not. I agree with being patient but to a degree. Someone else on another thread mentioned its just a matter of staying in touch with your dealer and pushing them. Some people have thier cars in 2-3 months. I will go see him in about 4 weeks to push him along. I can cancel the order and always go with another car. Hate to do it but 9 months is not a professional way of doing business regardless of how good the car may be.

I ordered a Manual SS so I guess it is taking longer. I can wait since I have something else to drive in the mean time. I really wanted it for the summer but that isn't going to happen. Let me know how you make out with it.
