Who else got mis-aligned stripes from the dealer? (Updated w/ Pics)

Got my stripes last Thursday and they looked fine in the sun. Got home and my gf noticed that the passenger front stripe veers off from center by much as 1/4 of an inch. I think it got pulled when he squeegeed it. and now I also noticed my trunk and spoiler stripes don't line up to each other by maybe 1/8 of an inch.
Has anyone else been through this with their dealer? if so how easy was it to get it taken care of? Mine seems to be trying the " Its not our fault the stripes didn't line up, it comes on a big template. "

Well if they try to blame the template tell them to call the manufacturer of the stripe kit! Don't take their shit!!

I got factory stripes, they're perfect BTW!!

my dealer's subcontractor put a 1/4" crease in one of my stripes. To make amends they painted stripes on for half price.

I say they have to fix it. If they had misaligned a GMPP exhaust tip or ground effects kit they're not responsible to fix it? BS!

ye I know it's worthless without pics and cameras are worthless without good batteries. So after work I'll try to get some posted. I'll be calling the body shop also to see if I have to get nasty with them or if they will happily take care of it because I haven't heard from them since they said they will call and let me know what they are going to do.

Mine aren't even at the back of the cowl, one is higher than the other but at the nose they're equal. Doesn't bother me at all, not real noticable unless I point it out to people.

If you're unhappy with yours, start complaining, a complaint isn't a bad thing or taboo. You paid a lot of money to have a perfect new car. It should be so.

I can't understand how they can miss align your stripes. I put them on all day long. There is a spot on each templet that matches a part on the car. You can't get it wrong, you can screw up the stripe if you don't take the water out right but not the alignment. The front stripes are not put together but the back stripes are all on 1 piece of paper. How can you not get that right. Rookies....

Some techs work on a car like it's there own ride. Others could care less.

When I go to a shop I hand pick who works on my car. From changing a tire and even the guy that does my oil.

There are just too many poor techs out there that ram thing thru too fast and with poor quality. And some mgmt that fosters that.

Tell your dealer to fix it's covered by your bumper to bumper warranty.

I took it to the dealer today so he could compare it to another car, but that cars' stripes were way off! Worse than mine. He is going to try to get another stripe kit a.s.a.p. and I'm going to try to see If I can help him.
He said he thinks the template was off and wants to call a GM rep. before he installs the second set. I told Him I paid 40 Grand and I will have perfect stripes when this is all done. and he said we'll try, but he seemed a little upset that they were off. so we'll see what happens.

Why is he upset, he acts like it's coming out of his pocket. (if there's a an issue with the template like he's claiming)

There's nothing wrong with the template!! He just knows his installer blows! So that's why he's mad....

Does it seem like I'm talking to myself

that's absolutely bullcrap. If they can't do it, they should have hired someone that could. You paid for them to be on the car right. They look like crap. I for one would not be happy with them that way.

Why is the factory not putting these on? I don't understand that concept, that the dealer puts it on. Also, from what I understand, is the RS tail lights are also put on at the dealer if you get the RS package. How can one make sure they get the RS tail lights when they get their car?
