Exclamation HELP!! FOOSE wheels wont balance!!!

Got my Foose outkast rims about a month ago, had them mounted up and balanced, only static balanced...put them on and took off, about 35 mph all the sudden the wheel starts shakin like OMG!! bad, and its the whole car also....so I take them off and back to the shop, they spin them and there all off!! So I watch them redo them, and they zero out, take em home, put em on, and take off...same thing!! Tires have less than 5k miles on them, and I had ZERO shaking with the stock rims and these tires...so back to the same shop and the owner tells me to take them to another shop that has a Roadforce balancer, pick em up a couple hours later and the guy tells me that i'll probably still have a shake, says the wheels are HEAVY...and sure enough still have the shake...starts around 35, goes away around 70 them comes back after that. Called West Coast Camaro, and they don't think it could be 4 rims bad, but they cant spin up just rims to see if there out?? I asked about having them dynamic balancing them, they said it would just be to much weight on them and probably still shake....I was gonna have a friend bring his Camaro over and put one at a time on his to see if they all shake or I can narrow it down. Wondering if anyone has had any issues with these or any other after market wheel and what they did to fix it, don't really want to send them back....thank for any info...

I know you don't want to, but I would send those suckers back so fast.

Good luck.

No reason you can't dynamically balance those wheels. I've balanced Hummer H2 wheels and they were fine. Are the wheels hub centric? if not, do you have the hub rings installed? Sounds like the wheel might not be centered on the hub perfectly.

Either spin the tire 180 degrees and try again or send the wheels back if they're that bad.

yes they are hub centric, and the wheel face's are true...the reason i dont want to dynamic balance them is i really dont want to see the weights right inside the spokes...but that mite be the next thing i try...thanks..

are you saying you only have weight on the back side and not the front? If so, yes you need to put weights on both sides (and yes you'll see the sticker weights). this is normal.

I've gotten away with weights on one side years ago on 15" corvette wheels... but it's obviously not working for you. there is no reason they shouldn't balance properly.

You must not be familiar with Foose wheels.

Don't forget to check for roundness as well. If you have a wheel or tire out of round, it won't matter if it's balanced.

Plus 1....any wheels cast in China will be a hit or miss.

Some are great, some are complete crap.

Could try some wheel balancing beads, I had one tire on my truck that had the same kind of issue and the beads helped. But I wouldn't use them for track use.

So I ended up finding one wheel that would not static balance. Had it dynamic balanced and no problems at all! 145 and no shakes! Other than that they are awesome! Lots of compliments on them!..

And people wonder why the only wheels we sell are made in the USA by Forgeline.
