It depends on how good it looks. If it looks good, has a 450hp LT1 variant and weighs 3400lbs, I will have to get one!

Keeping the ZL1, but already traded off the 2010 SS for a Chevy SS ... Best decision I ever made.

There will be people who are die hard 5th Gen enthusiasts and will keep them forever. Then there will be the people on the opposite end of the spectrum that will want whatever the newest thing is. But for the vast majority they will not have a strong feeling either way. They are not intentionally holding on the a 5th Gen but they do not have to have the newest thing. They will hold on to it until it for a while but eventually trade it.

I don't see a need to get rid of my Gen5 if I also want a Gen6. Can't I have my cake and eat it too? Of course, that is assuming I am interested in the Gen6. But my Gen5 is going no where.

I'm not sure how someone can determine whether or not they'll trade in a car they supposedly enjoy for one that no one has any idea what it even looks like yet. How about waiting until it's announced first?

keeping it for the long haul. the 5th gens just have that something special about them.
you go down the highway and see wave after wave of "ho hum" cars that are about as exciting as watching grass grow and then you see a 5th gen and it's got you.

these cars have been out long enough to be considered old news, but NO, people still stop and stare/wave/ thumbs up/ etc.

these cars have that something special and are worth keeping.

I wanted this look since 2007 when Transformers came out.....waited a long time and many $ invested to trade in. I'm a Bee keeper.

If it behaves itself then my 5th gen will stay. The camaro will have to be really good in the 6th generation in order for me to take another look-see.

It was always the plan to keep this one forever. But I do plan on retiring her to the garage and getting another DD before she gets 60,000 miles on her. What will that be, the next gen SS, ZL1, or Z/28? Who knows. See what my needs are, maybe it ends up being a Silverado.
