I paid $2K over on my SKY and later regretted it. My Camaro was MSRP with a 5 1/2 month wait. My new policy.............NEVER PAY OVER STICKER, it is foolish, unless you have STUPID CASH.

Can someone help. I didn't want to start a new thread for this but I wanted to know. Am I not asking the right question? Tried to to get an idea about when my car would get allocated, but the dealer stated he couldn't tell me. Said they dont know how many allocations they are going to get from month to month. I asked when they thought that my car would get allocated. Another member had mentioned that I was just not asking the right question.

I personally would not pay over msrp...I placed my order 5/15. My car has been built since 7/16. I am at 4D (QC HELL). NO WAY IS A DEALER GOING TO GET MORE $$$ OUT OF ME.

Dev - we are in the same boat - sold my car 7/30! Sucks not to have wheels!

Thanks for all the responses guys. The impatient side almost got the best of me :P So now the real question is, where can I find a dealer that has an open allocation NOW so my car can actually be pulled for production.

@ PROSTOCK69:
you said you ordered from "Langs," do you mean Langley Chevrolet in cleveland? I was gonna cancel my current order and order from them. Only reservation I had was I wasnt sure how reputable they were and if I would just be stuck in the same situation im in now. How are they?

Not smart to pay over MSRP........ unless you get the insurance that protects you for that.

But it's your life & you gotta live it!
Whether you pay MSRP or over MSRP, your insurance will not reimburse you for the full price it cost you to get the car, period. If you know you owe more than it is worth as soon as you drive off the lot, then you need to make sure you have GAP insurance.

I think your dealer has given you the run around long enough and who knows what else the dealer will pull on you when your car actually arrives and you are ready to make a deal?
Get the car you want now, pay over MSRP "IF" you can afford it. If not, order elsewhere. Nothing wrong with paying over. Only YOU know what you can and can not afford, it is your money and who cares what people think about paying over MSRP. They know about their own financial situation not anyone else's. I paid over MSRP to get what I want and ULTIMATELY, that is all that matters!

Dev,

I am in the same boat as you. I actually had 2 threads going on the same topic. See this thread:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33476

Becky will take care of you. You can either drive in or fly in. They are located 20 minutes South of Detroit's airport. 6 weeks to delivery. You will not sit at 1100. Tell her John referred you. I recently ordered. She is selling at MSRP minus any discounts you qualify for. They honor supplier discount.

Congrats! Providing there's no problems or QC holds, you should have your car by 9/15.

Don't pay a penny over sticker! Your just playing there silly little game doing that! Its not worth anything over what GM has suggested already (Full MSRP).
