A question about LT headers+corsa catback bolts on
Hi guys i have a 2013 L99 camaro ss with the Livernois Motorsports stage 2c cam package. They used LT headers connected with corsa catback using clams and bolts. The car was very nice until recently the catback fell off from the high flow cats of LT headers. Livernois has put the exhaust back and used new clams and bolts. They said they had over torqued the bolts and thats why the exhaust fell off and now they torque the bolts the right way. Have anyone else using bolts-on LT headers and exhausts experienced such falling off? Should I just weld the connections? I just wonder whether clam and bolts can hold the exhaust and headers.

I'd say it's due to them using clams.

I used the clamps that came with the LT headers & hi flow cats on 3 sets of headers and none ever fell off.

No.. Use the Clamps. We will usually tighten down the clamps and then go back and re-tighten everything after a few heat cycles. The clamps will provide a good hold if installed properly.

Yes, I drive aggressively. I have 40K miles on the SS now and it only had about 100 miles on it when I installed the Kooks LT headers.

Okay got it! The guy from Livernois did not recommend welding the exhaust either. Thanks for your advice.
