Camaro fluids
I know this is sin posting this here, but I was hoping to get some quick answers. I am fixing to change all my fluids to full synthetic and I wanted to know what weights are needed for a 2013 SS w/manual trans.
Manual trans fluid weight?? I want to use Royal Purple Rear differential weight?? Any additive needed? I'm also going with Royal Purple I am going to purchase 8 qts of 5w-30 for the engine and I guess use a GM filter? Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Use a hi-end oil filter, like AmsOil, K&N, Redline.
The manual tranny actually takes ATF fluid, The rear differential is 75/90 weight, and YES, add the friction modifier You should also consider adding a JDP Separate Clutch Fluid Reservoir, and swap to DOT4

Depends on what you buy........but obviously you've chosen the purple stuff. The a/c delco filter is fine.....Napa gold is another good one. You don't always need the most expensive to serve its purpose. ATF for the manual tranny. A lot of the current diff fluids have the friction modifier in it. Go to their web site and read up.

I have read a few threads about companies claiming to have already added the friction modifier, and the owner having to go back and add more.

Again, depends on what you buy. Obviously, I'm not a big synthetic fan. I used Lucas non synthetic gear oil that claims has the modifier in it. Drained it, filled it, drove it. No noise,no chatter, no having drive figure 8's. But, for those who want the piece of mind, I say buy the extra and add.

So 75w-90 for the rear with extra additive and "ATF" for trans?

Also, look into the JDP separate clutch reservoir.
Currently, you car shares it's clutch fluid with the brake fluid reservoir. This is a prime example of engineers being retardicons. The JDP is a simple mod to install, and allows you to keep the fluid separate.

Royal Purple Syncromax has a problem swelling up the stop rings in the M6 trans. Use Pensoil Syncromax works very well no problems same price as RP. I used RP /w Modifier from GM in Diff no problems. I went to a high boiling point brake fluid (Wildwood 570) for clutch and brake. No pedal problems since change at the Drag strip. Oil Pensoil Platinum or Ultra. 10w 30.
