FS: Supercharged 2008 Pontiac G8 GT; RARE 6sp GXP manual trans, ~47k miles

** no longer for sale **

For sale is truly limited edition G8 GT. In addition to being quite powerful for a family car, this is the first 'correct' automatic to manual transmission conversion G8 GT. Every function works just like a GXP. You get all of the power, but none of the insurance penalty! I bought this car two years ago with a dead transmission and the goal to convert it to a manual. Through two moves and a deployment, I finally managed to get it done. But now that the project is done, I want to concentrate on some other projects. It is in great condition and I will be truly sad to see it go, but it's time for it to move on to another owner. Specific details below:

08 G8 GT
White with black/red leather interior
MoonRoof
Every Factory Option (sport and premium packages)
Breyton GTS Wheels Silver 19x8.5"front 19X9.5" Rear
Khomo Ecsta Ultra Summer Tires
Comp Cam XFI 224/230
Displacement On Demand Delete
American Racing Headers Catless LongTubes and Mid Pipes
Magnacharger intercooled TVS2300 -- 3000miles on Supercharger when I bought the car with ~43k miles on it
ZR1 LS9 Head gaskets with ARP bolts
KB Boost A Pump
DBA 4000 Series Brakes w/ Hawk Ceramics - 3000 miles on Brakes
HID headlamps and matching fog lights
Line Lock Kit
CAI
Wideband O2 sensor (wiring is installed but not remainder of system)
MGW short shifter kit from a Camaro (will install the stock GXP shifter if the prospective owner wishes. The MGW takes some additional finesse.)
Tick Performance clutch speed bleeder

Will sell the car and all stock and spare parts for $28k.

Tuned by PatG (autocal will be included with sale). I'm working with a local dyno shop to verify power numbers before the sale. Previous owner reported 552 rwhp / 589 tq from the dyno in Kansas City, MO. I'm expecting the power curve may be lower since I'm at 7000 feet

Here is the list of stock parts that come with the car:
- stock intake, headers, cam, DoD parts
- stock 6L80E trans: needs to be rebuilt - have all of the OEM parts from Pace Performance to rebuild it using stock clutch/steels +1, manuals, and tools required. Also spent $900 to upgrade to Century's 300m billet intermediate shaft and reinforced clutch hub kits
- Stock G8 torque converter
- Stock automatic parts: driveshaft, shifter, engine wiring harness, other sundry bits
- probably other small stuff

- 18" Elbrus rims w/ Blizzak tires are also available but not currently included in the sale.

Cons:
- All slight cosmetic issues: crack in the point of front bumper cover, some rock chips on hood (less than a dozen) and both fenders (maybe 2-3) and a scratch on my rear bumper from an incident with the wife and the garage door. Sigh. There is also a bit of curb rash on two of the wheels.
- I am taking it to a detailer tomorrow to see about getting most of these issues touched up.

Feel free to send me PMs for questions about the car. Thanks for looking. Willing to pick up the prospective owner from either Denver or Colorado Springs airport.

Holy asking price batman. I'm not one to jump on someone's for sale thread and low ball someone with no intention to buy, but this one caught my eye. A little constructive criticism....your asking price is a bit out there. You def have a VERY nice car, but over the past 10 years I know I've lost over 100k in aftermarket upgrades on previous cars. You just have to charge it off to the game.

Most people finance cars and someone would have to put about 10 grand down on yours to get a loan approved.

Again VERY nice car with high quality upgrades and good luck to ya

Thanks for the feedback. I know I'm asking a bit for this but considering most completely stock G8s still sell for the mid 20s I don't think I'm that far off. I'm not expecting to recoup my costs on this. Car has had over $20k invested in it and all I'm asking for is about 5k over current loan value.

Also considering it is coming with about 6k worth of spare parts, it isn't too unreasonable. I'm open to offers on the car (as states above) if someone doesn't want all of the stock parts.

depends on how much you use your right foot

Normal commuting, I average about 23 with an average speed of 35 mph. Some sections I'm running 55, but there are about a dozen lights on my 15 mile commute. I get over 30 on the highway due to the manual trans and the 2.92 rear end. It purrs ~ 1600 rpm @ 80. The Maggie loves it, I don't have to downshift if I don't want to.
