Bogs hard when launching on drag radials ... Help

When I launch the car instantly bogs hard like traction control is still on. I have 480hp to the ground so I should have more than enough power. It must be a tune issue. My tuner said all traction control is off. I don't know is its a knock sensor cutting the timing back or some kind of torque managment. It's A 2014 1LE with cam long tube headers air raid intake and pulled 483 on the dyno. I'm so bummed. I can launch between 3000-4500 with the drag radials at 30psi on an unpreped street and they just spin, once I put VHT down and air down the tires is when it all starts to go down hill. It has stock injectors and the tuner said they flow fine and it's not too lean nor is it running rich. The 1le has the ZL1 pump and an extra fuel pick up. Any ideas please. I'm going to put a 150 shot of nitrous on it after I get this issue resolved.

My money is on torque management through TCM that creates the dreaded low end throttle delay. It's one way that GM preserves their drivetrains. A good tuner can remove most of it but then you get on GM warranty bad boy list.

Wow that was fast, an egotistical response already. This is not my first manual car. It is one of the lowest hp cars I have had. I know how to launch I built (paid for) a 9sec 1968 camaro, 4 FI mustangs (paxton, vortech, kenne bell and a 250 shot nitrous car.

One of my concerns is the guy that tuned my car did all the work on it and I'm getting ready to have him build a twin turbo motor for it. If its a tuner issue I'm not going to have him do this build. I'm looking for ideas as to why the CAR is having an issue so I can give him some ideas or things to look for. The shop is a very good LS shop with many years of experience. Most of the cars he does is for street use and road racing. I don't know if anybody has had this issue but any constructive ideas would be appreciated.

Are you sure your traction control is off completely (hold traction button for ~5 seconds)? Also try lowering your DRs to 24 PSI, at 30 PSI my traction control activates and the entire car bogs down.

I have Mickey Thompsons 305/35/20, and after a bit of trial and error I realized that these tires do NOT handle well on anything over 36 PSI hot.

Yes I hold the button down to turn traction control off. When I have 30 psi the tires spin. When I air down between 19-24 and hear the tires and it hooks is when I have the problem.

That's odd, it does sound like an tuning problem with your tune then - it shouldn't be bogging / cutting power if you have traction fully turned off.

If it spins the tires with higher air pressure but bogs at lower, it may be too much traction for the power put out at lower rpm. With no tire slip the engine is being brought down to lower rpms and needs to recover.

I watched a guy show up with massive tires on his car and it would die at launch. His issue was the engine needed to stay up on rpm and the tires hooked too well. Some degree of tire spin is better than total hookup.

Datalog - Pedal Position, throttle position.

This will tell you if torque management is still active.

Make sure you have turned off all stability control. The car might be applying the brakes.

Here is an off subject question. If I don't upgrade any thing and just slap some 275 ET streets, and launch using launch control. Will I break?

I'm thinking he's already on that list.

What should pedal and throttle position say or be set to?
Thanks
