I need warranty work on the maro. Where?

Transmission is gone but i've already done headers & a tune. I know it shouldn't be a problem but I don't want anyone to pull the program & report that it's been tuned. Any suggestions of shops in Houston?

I tried the competitive launch mode over the weekend & now my third gear synchro is out. Second gear gives me a problem every once in a while & there's some clunking & funny behavior when rolling to a stop with the clutch in & in first gear.

That is going to be expensive. With my working with GM on my car I have learned about mods and anything you do to the engine will void the drivetrain warranty. This is meaning even CAI will probably void it.

I live in Houston, TX as well. LMR is a really badass shop. Corvettes of Houston on '59 is good. A good tuner is chuck. He's located like around north 249 tomball i think. youtube him he gives his cell #.
he prolly have somethin for you on that issue

I'm afraid after all those mods you're not going to be able to get work done under warranty. But good luck, let us know how it goes.

Your best might be to have it rebuilt by a reputable shop using stronger parts (that GM should have used in the first place). Yes, it will cost a few bucks, but it might just be your best choice.

I would go to the Dealer, there are many manual trans. failing due to defects, if the defected part fails it should be covered.

Read the problems/complaint thread. You'll find quite a few LS3's having driveline issues.

My understanding is that the previous transmission problem was with the output shafts, not the synchros...

Yeah, the transmisson output shafts have been the main issue. Haven't seen problems with the synchros (if thats the problem).

Yeah, mine is most likely the synchro. I did the launch control the other day, then missed the 3rd gear shift. There wasn't a problem until a few days later. Now it grinds every time going into 3rd like the synchro's bad.

cai with no tune is fine . all you have to do is take it out when going to shop .and my dealer dont really care if you have it or not . he told me that it would be the first thing he changed . lets all hope we dont get to that point
