I may be one of the oldest Camaro owner's at 62!Been in love with Chevy's since I saw my first Corvette up close at 8 years old.Bought my first Corvette (although it was a pitiful rag) at 14 (with money I saved from mowing yards).

In my early 20's I'd buywhat we called "grandma" Camaro's back then. The non-sporty ones with 327 engines and 2 bbl carburetors and single exhaust.I'd put a 4 bbl. carburetor on them, a spoiler and mag wheels, add duel exhaust and sell them for 300-800 more than I had invested.I bought/sold about 21 Camaro's during that time. Most were 67-70 models.

Went back to Corvettes for the next 45 years or so, but sold the last Corvette I'll likely ever own last year (a 2008 black Z-06).Then I bought the last Camaro I'll likely ever own, a 2014 1LE.

I love the Camaro, and all the old high performance Chevy's I've owned.

Oh, and I've had lot's of jobs during my many years... 22 of them as a matter of fact. Everything from a policeman to a lineman. Currently, I'm a Plant Manger at a manufacturing firm.

Good luck, keep enjoying those nice cars!

We all get old (the lucky ones anyway), but our love for nice cars apparently stays strong until we are (at least) 62!

I always wonder where our steel actually comes from....
We use G90 10,000 lb. coils....18ga., 20ga., 22ga., 24ga.

If it is flat roll coils, there's a very good chance it comes from primarily iron ore and a little bit of scrap steel (shredded cars, scraps from stamping mills, scrap structural steel from demolished buildings, etc.). The mill I work at makes SBQ (special bar quality) round bars (1"-4.25") which is used in automotive applications. I help make the steel that goes into camshafts for GM Gen 3, 4, and 5 small blocks! (you're welcome )
