The only way the V6 is beating the V8 is mustang is the Mustang has a driver mod deletion kit installed. Much like the one in this forum that had in it when the V6 beat it at the track.

With a driver mod installed and functioning, its not even close.

if its the 2005-2009 ITS DAMN CLOSE with a 6 speed manual camaro...cam is turning 14.2 at 99mph and the mustang gt round 13.9 at 100-101 mph....now 2009 have close ratio and 15 more hp with perf pack...id run a rool on with a 05-09 anyday...and its a toss between the better faster shifter....and less tq equal more traction

Mustang wins in performance categories. Just like the Camaro wins against the V6 Mustang. Just the way it is.

GT wins, but they are very close, nd for the price difference and the 11 extra horses the GT has it isn't really a great comparison. You have to compare the v8 to a v8 and a v6 to a v6. The Camaro kills the v6 mustang and cuts close to the GT, but the SS kills the GT.

The Mustang gt would kill a camaro v6. They have equal horsepower, but the camaro has 47 more lb ft of torque and weighs less. It also has better gearing, and slightly better suspension. the mustang gt is a 13.4-13.8 second car. The camaro v6 is no where near that, especially on the top end. Comparing a mustang gt to a camaro v6 is like comparing the camaro ss to the mustang gt, no matter how you look at it, stock for stock, with equal drivers, the ss will always out run the gt. IMO GT>v6

The GT would school it...to be honest, if my option was a V6 camaro or a GT stang (to buy) I would go with a grabber blue 10 mustang GT no question.

Hmmm? times I have seen have put the GT at around 13.5 and the Camaro at 14.4, no matter how you cut it, that is not close.....
I would also put my money on the 05-09 GT 99.9% of the time, 13.8 is still a lot quicker than 14.4. Maybe a 99-04 Mustang GT with a bad driver or an automatic would be a good race with the V6 Camaro and it would surely kill 94-98 GTs through.

2004 GTs ran 14.2 1/4s and 6.1 0 to 60s so the V6 would be right there with it. No bad driver needed

04 gt auto's yes, but manuals with decent drivers saw 13.7-13.9 commonly.
