I was having the same problem @ the track. I had always raced auto's never a manual. Was told the clutch needs to be slipped, not dropped on the launched.

Launch control algorithms are not programmed for a drag radial composition tire on a prepped surface like the dragstrip and a good driver will be better, wheel hop and dead hooking is how you break stuff with a manual IRS car.

I agree, that's how I was able to cut a 1.4 60' in my C5 and 1.5 60' in a GTO. They can't be dumped on the launch like a manual solid axle f-body/stang on 15" slicks, it takes more finesse as you don't have as much sidewall that gives and the tire contact loss from camber change with IRS squatting.

Hope that helps OP, would like to know what tires you're on and if you have a video. Are you accelerating into the clutch release?
