Alternator/ electrical problem
So my car died last night I think it's the alternator, it jump starts but when I drive down the block the car completely gives out and all the lights on my dashboard come up and the radio/headlights go off. I also have a tune in my car, it's going to the dealer now to be looked at. Will this void my warranty for electrical problem?

I know that on a lot of modern GM's alternator output is controlled by the ECM.
I would flash back to stock first.

Reflash back to stock they will claim it as out of warranty with a retune in it.

Some dealers won't care about a tune. You might get lucky and the tech is a nice one.

There would be no reason they would even know it had a tune for just an alternator issue unless you have a lot of bolt-ons. If its just an alternator I wouldn't loss any sleep over it. Now if it was a powertrain issue now that would be another thing.
