[Capstone]

So... here's the story: I put a deposit down on 6/30 at full MSRP (no gouging) on a 2SS/RS IOM A6 Black int, GFX on order at Jim McKay Chevrolet in Fairfax, VA. Great place, Bud Carroll is the Sales mgr and a Camaro enthusiast. He was almost excited for me as I was when I broke the news that I had to cancel my order with him. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the greater Wash DC Area if they have the patience. I still owe him a drive by because he wanted to see the car.

A few weeks went by and I was looking through the Spastic Squirrel database to see how rare my combo was when a 2SS IOM A6 Black int (no RS, GFX) pops up in my wifes hometown, Pittsburgh (250miles/4.5 hours) and I decide to call the place up. DAY Chevrolet had the car from an order that a lady had placed but took home a similiar model that had come in sooner. I spoke with them Bobby Dunn. They were selling it for $500 over sticker, it had 27 miles on it. I said, we'll take it. That was last Tuesday July 28th, I FedEx'd a deposit Wed and we drove up Friday night, spent the night at the In-Laws and went to the Dealer 9am Sat. Here's the Video of my trip back

congrats,i have the iom/rs w/io int. 6sp. man...you will abosolutly love it!!!...i had ordered mine 12/19/08...it was born exactly 6 months later 6/19/9...i sent after mine which it was bayed in la.,i took delivery 7/02/09,i am a parts manager for chev/cad. dealer,it had 4 miles on it before the drivers got back from port allen la. with it,and then it had 174 miles,i have since put the black ralley stripes and the gmpp exaust on it, i am currently waiting for the g.m. cai to become available....it was difficult for me to decide to do the white ralley's or the black,glad i chose the black although the white would look good as well....this morning we were dropped a black ss" and an ibm v-6 (both are sold),they are in detail now being cleaned,"all" colors on this car look good,i have seen the rec,black,yellow,imp.blue and rjt..we have a white on order for a customer and it should be here sometime next month...enjoy,...you will have aloooot of attention!

I have been these forums since July 2007 and signed up in November 2007. I had been through everything on this site. First I was mostly looking for information about the Camaro and not posting. Then I start come more and more to this site as time passed. I was there when they confirmed the look of the Camaro. I was there when they confirmed they engine of the Camaro. I was there when we all asked “Are those the real headlights?”. I was there when they start to come down the assembly line. And now I have one of my very own.

I learned that I wanted this car since 2006 and I wanted to learn all I could about the Camaro. I remember when I first went to Camaro 5 website in 2006. It barely had any info on it. So I stopped looking at Camaro 5 for one year. Then in 2007 I went back and start to see lots more new info! Ever since then I have been on this site more and more often to read on the newest car information. Now I’m on it EVERYDAY!

I have been to Camaro meets without a Camaro. But I have been so many new Camaro friends on this site and had lots of fun! Thank you for all you guys support! THANK YOU ALL!!! And thank you Camaro 5!

Hey everyone I just thought I'd share my story. I wanted to order one but since i'm working and going to school I didnt have alot of money saved up to order one a year ago like some of you did. I did try hard to save and save and when I saw that places around my state were getting them I started calling everyplace to see what they had and how much. I usually just missed something in my price range and they werent due for another 1LT for quite a while. I did get put on one waiting list but I was number 36 and they didn't know when they'd start taking orders(this was in march 2009). On May 12, 2009 I went in to one last place that I didn't even think would be getting one cause the town is pretty small, but I asked them about ordering one and they said that what I had to put down was good and they could do that, but they also told me they were getting a Black 1LT with sunroof and connectivity package and were willing to sell it at MSRP. I was very excited, I asked if they knew when they'd get it in, and they said in a week or less. I put half my down payment that day and the next day I got a call while I was at work and they had got it in. I picked it up May 13, 2009. Thank you if you read this, I will post pics as soon as I get more info on how to do it on this site. Thanks. I figured out how to add pics, I took them at the dealership and at my school.

My Wife and I just picked up ours on Thurs (8/6/09). Couldn't be more happy with this car. Absolutely drop dead gorgeous!!!

I finally picked him up on Wednesday, but I've been too busy driving, showing him off, and working to get the pics up til now. This car was DEFINITELY worth all the wait!! Huge thanks to GM, the Camaro team, Fbodfather, Super60, Mole, 80Zedder, all the guys at the plant, CamaroScotty, trm0002, 2010 SS RS, Hylton, and everyone else here who offered so much in making this car happen, helping with tracking, and just answering the many questions that so many of us had.

I picked up at Ferman Chevy in Tarpon Springs, FL. Salesman was Nino Ianni, a great guy. Ordered Valentine's Day '09, took delivery 08/05/09. I love this car!! And so many complaints that people have had about it... well, I have yet to have any, and those were unfounded, at least IMHO.

Pics were with my BB Storm, so not the best. I have better on my main camera, but I don't have the software to resize them at the moment... Pics are of car after tinting as well (which looks awesome on this car!!)
