Passenger Window Clicking?

Recently, whenever I roll my passenger window up it down, there is an audible click as it's rolling. Has anyone had this same issue? I'll try to upload a video..

Sounds like some slack in the regulator, or possibly a loose rivet.

Get it checked out at the dealership at your next oil change.

I'm pretty sure most window regulators work in a similar manner. That being said - on BMW regulators (the only ones I'm really familiar with) there's a plastic grommet between the bolt and the hole in the window. If that grommet is broken there will be a tiny bit of slack in there. That could be your clicking.

How would I know if that's the causation and what would cause that?

You'd have to take the door panel off, and physically look at the mechanism.

I'd leave it to warranty - just in case something else breaks. Else they could say "You were in there. You must have broken it."

As far as what causes it -

Kleeeb,

Sincere apologies to learn of the clicking you're experiencing. I understand how concerning this is, and though you're seeking thoughts and opinions, I would be happy to communicate this situation with the designated Customer Experience Manager at your preferred dealer if you feel an official diagnosis is necessary. Feel free to message us privately if you'd like to proceed, or discuss this situation further.

I had the same issue. My dealer replaced the window regulator under warranty.
