Ultimate Street Car Association - June 13 - 15th, Auto Club Speedway Fontana

For all my So Cal Family, this is an awesome event that includes Road Course, AutoX, Speed Stop, Road Rally and Design Challenge....this is a 3 day event...

I am adding the link to registration and the main website to review what the event is all about, the schedule is on there, along with information about membership in USCA. This event is on the more expensive side, but for all you people that like being on TV, MAV TV is filming and the event will be broadcast at a later date....This event also is a Optima Invitational qualifier event, which takes place in Vegas the Saturday immediately after SEMA.

Here are the links

A couple of things to know, I recommend you become a member, as you save $25 off registration and get free transponder rental at event $50 value.

As an added bonus, they offer a $100 discount refund of registration fee if we can sign up 3 or more people...Jordan from JDP Motorsports is definitely attending, as am I, so we agreed to use Team JDP as club/shop name for discount. Near the bottom of the registration you will find where to enter:

Enter Team JDP in this part of registration

CLUB DISCOUNT

If your shop or car club is attending, get $100 off everyone's entry fees when you get 3 or more people to sign up. Simply fill in the name of your shop or car club below, and once the required number is met, we'll refund your discount via Paypal. (May not be used in conjunction with any other discount/promo)

Name of Shop or Club

Make sure you read the rules regarding safety equipment required, especially for the road course portion....Any questions let me know.

I'm going! I went to the first one in Monterey Laguna Seca and raced alongside the lingenfelter camaro, porsche GT3 and a bunch of old classic high powered muscle. I was outgunned for most of it(I'm stock v6 essentially) but was able to keep up in the auto X. It sounds like a lot of money but we got a ton of track time and autocross time(most people got tired and gave up before our time was up). Don't expect to win anything as there will be people there with a lot more money and time in their cars, but it's still a great time and a fun track day.
The schedule on this Fontana one looks a little funny as they are sharing the track that day and racing doesn't start till the afternoon through late night, and I'm sure it's going to be way more busy than Laguna but I'm driving down from the SF Bay Area anyways.

Let me know if anybody has any questions and I'll be happy to help.

Excuse me, don't expect to place anywhere near the top, you'll be racing against the lingenfelter camaro, Porsche GT3 skyline GTR and people with more horsepower than they know what to do with.

It was a little disheartening when I showed up to race a "street car challenge" with a bunch of trailered high dollar build race cars, there were some true street care there but it was very few. Are you going ddunerider?

The reason you got so much track time at Laguna is they only had about half the people they planned for at the event. I have attended multiple Optima events over the last few years and when the number of cars climbs up to 75 or more, the track time diminishes pretty quick. If the Fontana event has participation similar to Run to the Coast which had over 75 people, track time will be much more scarce...still deciding whether to do this, as the entry is steep for the anticipated track time....

and ddunerider has been to many of these events over the years and is very fast on a road course and autox, you've been to one event?...

Considering Speed Ventures is at the same track this weekend for $190, and autox for $75, $550 is a lot, even with the discount your looking at $450...at Face Off at Road America last time, I got 5 autox laps, 5 speed stop runs and 3 sessions on the road course...it was fun and didn't cost as much...so not sure the value is there for these events...

Being new on here, you might try and be a little more respectful...you've been to one event and think you're an expert on it...the people you are addressing here are a tight family who have raced together for years. We've been to many events, and want value for our money when we go to any event....Good luck with the event....

Nope, if you want to do this one and get the discount, I think you need to register 30 days before the event which is today or tomorrow. You can use California Autocross in the discount code, to get the $100 off, as I have not signed up for this and probably only will if my 56 is done in time.
