I was just wondering if the HUD is still planned for the Camaro in the 2011 MY? Any other features confirmed?

Automatic w/ LS3 in the SS & optional Leather interior on 1SS. Otherwise the Camaro is a great car as is.

The L99 is a LS3 with AFM and automatic.

The L99 is derived from the LS3 with reduced output but adds Active Fuel Management (formerly called Displacement on Demand), which allows it to run on only four cylinders during light load conditions. Applications:

* 2010 Chevrolet-Camaro

I know that. I just like a true V8 that runs on 8 cylinders all of the time, I'm not much of a fan of the Displacement on Demand. If I can't get LS3 that's running the V8 all of the time then I'll live with the equally well built L99 that's based off of the LS3. I'm just more partial to the true LSx series engines & don't see why the Automatics shouldn't have the LS3. Just because you're buying an automatic shouldn't mean you can't have the true LS3. The only true plus to the L99 is not having to pay George W's stupid $2k gas guzzler tax.

It doesn't bother me, AFM only works when you're cruising along when you don't need the extra power. When you need all 8 cylinders you hit the gas and you get all the power you need, in an instant. I am grateful for the feature, I like that a V8 car can get 25 MPG and not cost me an extra $2k. To each his own but I really don't understand the hate towards AFM.

I'll post my wishlist again... Back-up camera, nav screen, facelift on the interior, and buy-one-get-one-free.

No problems from here through 2011! Someone said that the problems are always there in the first year of a new model. We'll.........My Chevrolet Truck was the first year of the new model and I have yet to find even one problem. It is possible to produce a vehicle with few issues the first year. Since I have ordered an automatic, I am worried about the performance since the comments on this site are so common. Everything else sounds like it was corrected or wasn't so wide spread.
I am sort of curious why so many track slips are coming back with times being in the high 13's. High Performance Pontiac Magazine tested a 35th Anniversary Edition 2002 Ram Air Trans Am, with an automatic and it ran a 13.13 at 104 MPH. Check Issue Sept 02 , Vol 23, No.9 This time was achievable at the drag strip even by a novice like me. ( I owned a regular, stock, ram air, TA up until a few months ago.)You would think that this camaro would be consistantly running mid to high 12's after 7 years of research and improvements. Come on GM beef up the chip programing and push the SS into the mid 12's. I have one ordered, but have to say, I may just let the dealer have my deposit and go buy a 99 Special Edition TA (The one with the blue wheels.) I am just scared of my 2SS showing up and being slower than my TA was. That car was a rocket!

A light weight Z28 with unrivaled performance, big brakes, wheel set-up like that on the concept, option out on power windows, seats, etc., and a true paddle shift tranny ( which will help with economy and performance), and subtle ground effects with a functional hood scoop.

Well I just scanned all 20 pages of this thread, didn't see anyone mention this, it's an easy question for me:

What would I like to see in a 2011 Camaro?

ME!

FWIW< there is a teeny blurb in today's paper that quotes a govt talking head that is saying the gov't does not want to use the ownership stake in GM to set or enforce "policy" like emissions, CAFE standards and so on...

THAT was encouraging to see... let the MARKETPLACE drive this....

Angry We should be happy with what we've got: GM is taking stuff away on Buick Enclve

I'm in a forum for my Buick Enclave. GM is DELETING features for the 2010 model. Some features like the power shade over the fixed sun roof on the back is going to a manual only shade. Other features are being dropped on the lower models and only kept on the higher priced ones.
