Once again..... guarantee it took you longer then twenty minutes.
To fully take off the center console to access the module takes 20 minutes alone Superman.

I know what I'm doing, ripped it apart a bunch of times and I'm saying it's physically impossible from start to finish to do this project in twenty minutes...
I'm only saying something cause I like to call out people's exaggerations.

Well I do this for a living and with the right tools it is very easy for example those back 2 screws took 5 seconds to remove again with the right tool you can do it in 20 minutes just don't take the console out lift it up and prop it up with something saves time.

Well you must definitely have some kind of short cut then because I consider myself not a novice to this stuff and from start to finish it takes me 45 minutes... that's with not struggling with any of the break down and fully taking off the console. Don't see how you can access the location by just propping the console, but hey I would love to see a video and prove me wrong.

When you prop up the console in the back about 6-8 in you have access to the airbag module which I have replaced a lot of,this module is located right in front of it I just lay on the drivers seat unbolt it bolt the new one in drop the console put the screws in,I already knew where the screws where and what tools I needed before I started that makes it a lot faster.

I hate to say it but from the sounds of it I'm starting to believe your 20 minutes. It's just so hard te believe that with zero complication when I do this your beating my time by 20 plus minutes... sick!! Ha...

Here is the tool I use ,you just put a screwdriver bit in it then I put it in my Makita screw gun this is a big advantage.

Is anyone aware of a 2014 part for this solution? I would prefer not to use older parts as my 1SS is brand new, but I'm sure it won't matter if that's my only option.

Thanks.

Not sure you read the entire thread but the answer to your question was already here

Based on production numbers, that's somewhere around 330,000 Camaros using this part number. I'd say that's a pretty good cross-section of cars to validate the part is "safe".

I don't post here much anymore, as I don't care for a large percentage of the posters. However, there are some folks here worth helping and complementing, so my compliments to the OP. I changed out the sensor and love it. For those thinking of doing this, it has been great. It's a real improvement in driving pleasure, and I've suffered no ill effects.... go for it!
Of the changes I've made (only 4) this is only beaten out by the dumping of the P-Zeros as improving the enjoyment of the car and it was a whole lot cheaper.

Just got the new Yaw Sensor installed on my 2013 ZL1 and no more HSA, only took about an hour and I didn't have to remove the whole center console!

Time to add another Camaro to disabled HSA list!

Also gotta say thanks to everyone who contributed to this DYI to make the install as painless as possible!
