One of my coworkers is just slightly judgemental and when I told her I bought a Camaro, she said she was having a hard time imagining that I was into "hair bands", and also couldn't see me as someone who would go cruising around the "ghetto".

She said it in a joking way, but it's clear that the image of various older Camaro stereotypes are still fresh in her mind.

That's too bad. She's missing out on a great car built for everyone.

Well when I had my new 1999 Corvette, it got a lot of attention, of which the wife liked that, NOW with my 2011, MORE ATTENTION then I got with the corvette,( WIFE LOVES THAT) I mean I go to Tenn, people are gathered around it as soon as I stop to get Gas or come out from a quick lunch,, same in Georgia , Souh Carolina, and Florida, SO i don't know where you live, maybe UP IN YANKEE STATE LOL but the south loves the CAMARO a whole lot.

I run a no credit check car lot and we have the typical no credit check inventory! I park my car on the side and when he saw it he asked,'How much down for the yellow Mustang?'

1. I had someone ask me why I'd spend close to $60k on a Camaro and not just get a Stingray. I guess that's a fair question. I told him that I would never let my kids ride shotgun in a Corvette. The thing that bugged me was that he had no idea what the ZL1 was.

2. I work in the capital markets, so I deal with a lot of pretentious rich guys. One of my coworkers asked me why I'd get such a "guido" car. Why didn't I just get another BMW M3? I told him to get in. He got in and I showed him why I bought a ZL1. I think he yakked when we got back from our ride.

Let's see....On a political forum, I stated I loved GM products, owned a Camaro, but fundamentally disagreed with auto maker bailouts. Adding that bad business practices shouldnt be rewarded and that ultimately, GM would be reborn under another buyer anyway.

I got the reply, "Leave it to a redneck with a mullet, driving a hillybilly rocket sled to disagree with the bailouts."

I was asked just today if it had a Hemi. And another guy in a beat up old truck asked if I wanted to trade. First time on the road in over 6 months. Also had some young kid want to run em in a Avenger. No thanks

"If thats how your floor looks every 3 days...please dont worry about how the seat tracks look...nobody will notice!! I think you need to focus on installing retractable boot brushes somewhere!! Or spend the money on a different car to go muddin in....like a 4x4!! "
