New Member & 1st weekend impressions

Friday I picked up a 2014 2LT and I'm very happy with my purchase. It came down to a 2LT or a 1SS. Considering this will be my daily driver, well except on nice days when I'm on the Harley instead, I wanted to go with the better gas milage option. I generally only keep cars for 2 or 3 years and figured I'd give the V6 a try to see what my version of real world gas milage will be. This will help me get a better idea of what I can expect when I jump up to the SS.

I've read a lot of threads on this site prior to joining and making my purchase so I would be prepared a bit as to what to expect. Coming from a 2012 Ford F150 Supercrew, it's a bit of a change for me. I'm about 6'1" and I couldn't fit in any of the camaros with a sunroof. My head was only about an inch from the roof. I really enjoy how this car handles even though it's a stiffer ride than my truck was. I see a lot of complaints about the stock sound system in these cars but I find mine sounds pretty good. Sure I had to play with the tone adjustments, but to me it sounds way better than my truck did even with any aftermarket radio in it. I plan on swapping out all the speakers with better options and an amp in the future, but not till I really need to.

So far I'm really happy with my new car and look forward to playing around with it and customizing it a bit. 1st up will be tint for sure.

Thanks and hello from St. Louis.

Welcome and congrats on the 2LT. , that's what I have on order. I would have to store mine for 6 months of the year if I got the SS for my region but the V6 is powerfull enough for me.

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
