BA Replacement (JL Audio)

I have changed my mind and decided to tackle doing the factory BA system swap myself instead of paying someone to do it. I have read over some DIY on here of front door speaker installs and rear installs also the install of amp a sub but I have a few questions hopefully you guys can help out.

here is what I want to do. I need thoughts and suggestions on stuff needed or problems you see.

1. FARK Kit from ********
2. Stealth Box front ******** 10 inch
3. Passenger amp rack from ********
4. Front 6.5 door mounts
5. Rear 6X9 to 6.5 mounts
6. Speaker wire harness so I don't have to cut wires
7. JL Audio HD 900/5
8. JL Audio 6.5 C5 components
9. JL Audio 6.5 Coax
10. 10 inch W6
11. Sound deadening material for trunk, doors, and rear deck
12. Need help on what sealant to use for the mounts?
13. Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge install kit
14. Double sided tape, few hand tools,

Am I missing anything? I reached out to Steve from ******** but no response yet.

The 900/5 will kick ass. My system sounds excellent with a 700/5. Where are you going to mount the amp?

Why not a 12" sub? The 12" is better sized for the Stealth box and for $100 more you get a better sound.

I did an extensive write up on my install.

Your write up is one I have saved for the big project ahead of me..))

I am going with the 10 because I want tight bass since I listen to all music like rock, country, rap, 80's so I don't want the bass to be loose if that makes sense.

I have no clue where I am mounting the amp, I was hoping to get some ideas, maybe the passenger side mount sumbthump has if I can get a hold of him.

The Damping Factor of your amp is what will give you the tight controlled Bass. The JL HD 900 does have a very good damping factor I think around 300 which is great, the only amps that I've seen with a higher damping factor are the higher end Alpine amps which are around 500 stereo and greater than 1000 mono. I know that you are aware that the HD 900 will not mount in the stock location due to lack of real estate. You are going to have a awesome system.

I agree with Dega Man. I still think the 12 will be tight and not sloppy with the 900/5.

Definitely put in a level control.
