Support Mods needed for a safe 600 RWHP?
Hello All,
I recently purchased a 2014 2SS/RS with Recaros. I am planning to eventually bring it up to 600 RWHP. It is a Automatic and I really would like to keep it relatively stock if possible. My plans are to add a Supercharger, CAI, and some Longtube headers as well as a good tune. My question is what would I need to change to make this a long term reliable daily driver? If it is to much at 600 HP how about at around 525 RWHP. Am I correct in assuming at the low 500 range just about everything can remain stock? |

You will get a ton of responses as to what is and isn't necessary and they will likely conflict to some degree. I would recommend finding the person that will do the build/tune for you and see what they recommend. There are also a ton of great vendors on here that are extremely responsive and helpful that have built more 600+ beasts than you can count, you might get your best information by calling or sending a pm to a few of them

How much $$ do you want to spend? What are you using the car for?

I'm at 580 with a Maggie, and long tubes, dual fuel pump. If your going to drag race it, you may need some rear end and suspension parts when/if they break. DD it'll be fine.

TVS2300 with OD Cog, FIC 60lb injectors, ZL1 Pump, ADM FPCM, CAI, Long tubes. That setup will get you 500+. I made 600 with that setup but also had a cam. Car is a DD and has 60k+ miles on it now.

Really not much if anything. I've seen AGP kits do 580-680rwhp on stock autos with no other mods. Check into what it takes to get a SC car to 600 on an l99 auto and you will see the value of the turbo kits.

I would like to spend under 10k but I will be doing all the installs myself. The car will be 100% a daily driver. Definitely not a garage queen but definitely not a track car either. I'm also not really fixated on any certain HP number either. I just want it to be a good bit quicker. I just say 600 RWHP because I know that the highest I would want to go for my uses.

Even at 600 RWHP, you'll need to do a few suspension mods to transfer the power to the ground... Toe rods and trailing arms are a good start... It'll keep the tires aligned as the power is applied... rather than having the tires rotate forward and inward leading to bad wheel hop in many cases..
