How does GM rank in quality?

Note that all the brands of GM's are higher than average quality. Only Porsche is higher than GMC.

CR sucks, but so does the paint, not just on the Camaro but it seems to be on all vehicles thanks in part to all the new EPA laws..

To add to the comedy, Chevrolet ranked higher than Toyota and Honda.

Worst was Scion, which is a Toyota I think?

Yes, the EPA has dictated that no paintjob will be as good as they were in the past. Orange Peel affects all brands made in the US.

CR, I haven't read in a while but the few items they got reviews from that I did read, I never agreed with and always seemed "off" IMO. Like they only published what they agreed with.

I stopped paying attention to CR years ago. Their ratings always seemed to be opposite of my actual experiences. Some of their ratings just don't make any sense. Vehicles that were mechanical twins sometimes had wildly different ratings, especially when one was a Chevy and the other a Toyota like the Matrix/Vibe and Corolla/Prizm. I'll let you guess which got the higher ratings. My opinion is best case their data collection is seriously flawed, worst case they sell good ratings to he highest bidder. Either way I have no interest in reading it.

2011 here.

Only issue I had was a cuplink was coming loose and leaking trans fluid ever so slowly. Easy fix under warranty. Other than that. I've had no problems. Sitting at 52k mi

CR is anti-American Industry. They are firm believers in the "world economy" and the "world industrial base". They suck. Don't even figure them in to your buying decisions.

I've only read good things about reliability and quality? Crash test ratings are also above average. Everyone has an opinion.

CR considers cars as just another appliance, just good for moving people from one place to another..

The only thing the dealer has had to work on on my car is the top, and that was something they brought on themselves. It was fine until they changed out the whole top because of one small piece of weatherstrip I complained about.
The two check engine light issues I have had were self inflicted. No dealer involvement necessary.

My 2010 only had one issue early on, temperature door on the account unit broke. Fixed in a couple hours.
