What the Heck Is Going On With Deliveries?

The dealers and the Chevy Cust Service reps have NOT been informed these cars are coming via direct truck. They are misinformed. ALL Z/28s WILL BE COMING VIA DIRECT TRUCK.

Mine still showed Bayed the day it arrived. The system does not update when it ships by truck, since it has never been that way for the 5th gen Camaro.

It sucks to wait, trust me, I already have! Mine was built 3/26 and arrived on 5/5. Mine also had an EH (engineering hold). However saying "inspected and cleaned" maybe inspected, but mine was pretty filthy when it arrived.

The problem is communication. The dealers are not informed when the truck leaves and is heading their way. And the GM cust service doesn't either.

It's a maddening waiting game

Yep same here, mine was still showing 4B00 when it arrived.

Wax took 95% off and since I am almost 50 years old I can't really see the other 5%

Latest info from my salesman (awesome!) from a GM rep: "An engineering hold was removed today. So to my knowledge this can be shipped. It is a matter now of loading onto a train. Can’t give you a good eta until I see it on a train since we have had rail issues out of Canada also."

Would be cool to have a "Delivered" thread with all the chronological order of folks here on C5.com who have them enroute and whatnot.

Would be cool for folks downstream waiting to be able to better gauge where their wait times might be.

When did they start factory Corvette deliveries? You may be thinking museum delivery, which is NOT the same, even though it's across the street. The deal still goes through the selling dealer.

I hope they get more trucks for you Z/28 folks that are waiting.
