Post the ignorant back handed crap people say to you about your Camaro

You know of all the insults my car had gotten, none have been from a fellow Camaro owner about it being a v6. Most people give me props for early twenties and driving such a nice car. Anyone else knocking it usually dives a POS. If your car isn't on par or better than mine, your opinion is invalid and you're not worthy to criticize, I don't take I personally as mostly comes from jealousy in these cases.

say man something is missing out that camaro... you need more loud... i said oh yea.. it has it.. he was like naw we heard you get on it, is it a v6.. im like hell no... i go to start her up with a couple of good revs.. his mouth dropped like wtf.... thumbs up.. he says you got it man!!!! lol.. i get alot of wow nice car... etc.... hardly anyone hating....

I'm a 25 year old female, no one EVER belives the car is mine. They think daddy bought it for me or it's my boyfriends or something. And I'm like no, went to college for 6 years so I can afford it, it is mine. When they find out it's a stick their jaw drops. O the stares I get, I love it. Someone once said "I only thought 19 year old boys drove those" and I was like "What 19 year old can afford a brand new Camaro?"

I get complements from fellow car enthusasts until they find out (not that I hide the facts) that it's an automatic V6. It's not like a manual V8 was hard to find, or out of my reach...but when it's my only vehcile, and I'm driving 60+ miles a day, it just makes sense. I miss a manual, and I wish I would have realized that "Sport Mode" is not in the 2LS, but I have flashbacks of my friends attempting to drive my prior manual transmission when I was "unable" to drive myself. I can still hear those grinding noises :(

Anyway, it's annoying when you find someone who comes off as appreciating Camaros, then gives you crap about which model you have. Sure, it's not typically cool to brag that you have the most fuel efficient Camaro, but it just means I can afford to spend more time with it on the road!

EDIT: BTW, I don't get any of this from fellow Camaro owners, just people who know very little about them.

Wifey drag races our cars extensively. She's NHRA licensed.

You should hear some of the stupid comments when she is at the wheel.

However, she has talent in a MANual trans.

Too much talent perhaps.

It got to a point at our local tracks in grudge races that nobody would run her.

They didn't mind ME kicking their ass, but to have a housewife, mother of 3 do it was apparently humiliating.
