Once there, the trucks have to have the car delivered to my dealership. So what would put me hopefully picking it up somewhere in the next Wednesday - Friday timeframe depending on if the trucking company is lazy or not - the train railyard is only about 5 miles from the dealership.
My sales guy said they (GM or Train company?) could not release the train car number due to security reasons. Not sure about that one. But at least I'm glad my sales guy is working with me (instead of blowing me off, especially since we've already done all the paperwork) and has decent news for me. Hopefully the train company and trucking company actually keeps to their agreed timelines.
So I ordered my car 3/5/14.
Car was built 4/22/14.
Was Bayed by 4/25/14.
Loaded on train 5/1/14.
And the future dates, hopefully -
Delivered to local railyard by 5/11/14.
Delivered to dealership by 5/14/14.
And me pick up by 5/15/14 hopefully?
Scott, what exactly are they telling you? I'm in S.E. Texas for reference.

Wow, that's pretty crazy. We ordered the same day, built the same day and their coming pretty much the same direction (I'm in Dallas). How do you not have your car yet??? I would have thought our cars were on the same train

Man Scott, that's quite a roundabout for it to get home!! All I can say is it will be WELL worth the wait

Very nice Paladinjc!! I put on the ZL1 rockers and RPI Stealth splash guards this weekend. Went out and took some new pics. I didn't notice the "Camaro" in the rim till I was cleaning up the other day. Nice touch...

ProfessorRhone,
I love the Crystal red, your car looks HOT!! That was my second choice for color. You are making me second think Ashen Gray.

Thanks! I was torn between Crystal Red & Blue Ray. Even after placing the order I kept re-thinking my choice. After getting it and cleaning it up....I have to say I do not regret getting the CRT one bit! It is absolutely stunning! Even better with the black accents of the 1LE.

Professor that does look very sweet.
I'm still getting hints, good ones, that my car might have just hit town. Hopefully that will allow me to get my baby by weekend. Crossing my fingers. Man, 22 days since it was built, and still not here, so hopefully my research is going to be correct.

My car was finally unloaded from the rail car today. Now it will have to be trucked about 200 miles to the dealership. I'm hoping by the weekend too. But more than likely it will be beginning of next week for me!!

Yeah, thats great Scott! Glad this wait is almost over for the both of us.
Basically GM (their hotline) says my car was loaded onto a truck today and it's next destination is my dealership. Exactly where this truck is, I'm not sure. But according to what my salesman said previously, was that the train station is only about 5 miles the dealership. SO, that should mean my car hopefully got delivered today. I know they got the usual prep stuff, plus they are tinting my windows and installing black inserting bowties on my car. But I'm hoping I still get the call tomorrow to come pick it up. By Friday for sure. As long as the GM people got their info correct that is.

Glad to hear both of your's are getting closer to home! Can't believe the shipping time differences Especially you rdr, we're in the same state!! I can tell you that the agonizing wait is well worth it and you'll forget you were even the first time you mash that pedal!

Very true Professor. My dealership is about 220 miles south of Dallas on IH45. So don't know what their problem is.
But at least I did get my salesman to verify my car is at the dealership as of yesterday evening. No time to do all the prep work today and extras needed today though. My salesman was off today, but he actually called me to let me know what's up. Cool of him to do that on his day off.
Anyway, we're shooting for tomorrow night for me to hopefully pick it up. Perfect timing too since I have next week off work.
So me and Mr.1LE will have a full week to get fully acquainted

That's really cool! It is kind of strange that it took so long to get yours when you're not that far from Professor!!

I still don't know when I'll get mine. It was unloaded from the train. Dealership doesn't have it. But the onstar app on my phone is saying that it has 7 miles on it and 3 gal of gas...it also shows that a couple of tires are only at 30 psi!! LOL I think I'm getting closer! It does look like I'm the last of our 4/21 cars huh?? I hate being last
