You could however, end up with a better than factory paint job. Like for real's, my car looks good, but both of our '14 chevys have, IMHO, shitty paint jobs. Trash under the paint, blemishes, lots of little stuff they left the factory with...you could end up with a new car with a really nice paint job compared to the typical Chevy paint.

Just trying to find the positive in it. Also, the dealer the car was purchased from wouldn't be painting it, a different GM body shop would be.

Lets see your now used 1LE which will have non original paint no matter how you look at it, will be worth 34-38k depending on the which model and options, the ZL1 with aftermarket mods should still be worth 48-52k, that isn't a hard decision to me.

yea, gonna be pretty one sided. as long as the ZL1 is clean, id be jumping on that.

If you don't like all the goodies, you could just revert the ZL1 back to stock and sell the aftermarket stuff. It would probably be less than $5800.

hmmmmm. Sounds a bit much damage for a kid with toy before anyone noticed what was happening.

Isnt the original transaction, fraud? The dealer KNEW it was repainted and sold as new. Lawyers out there. Fraud?

Since fraud. Take the ZL-1. Tell them due to fraud they need to replace the clutch no matter the condition. Also have a different dealer do an inspection and ECM scan.

Ask them if you can take the ZL1 to a mechanic of your choice if you suspect something is wrong with the clutch. The dealer isn't going to own up to it if there's something wrong with it.

Joe get back into the ZL1 DO NOT let them repaint the 1LE you will never be happy just remember the crap you went through with the 2010 and paint issues.
