I was picking up my daughter from the mall when a mall security guard walked up and said to me "You know a Mustang GT500 will eat your car alive!!, it's one of the best cars on the track too" I said really??.. Then how come Ford hasn't released its results from Nurburgring??.. He said "What's Nurburgring??"...

I'm not sure what "back handed" means but as far as insults I only had one from an old dude at a car show. He asked me why I brought a new production vehicle to a car show. I told him I have lots of stuff on the car that wasn't part of the production @ GM, AND I wasn't even in the show. I was just parking my car so I could check out the other cars. Funny thing was everytime I glanced over to my SS there were people checking it out.

Have some cops did control checks, and asked me if the car was really mine ( 24, black, with dreadlocks.. f** stereotypes :/)
Also, a cashier in a well known pizza store, from where he saw me parked, told me when I was picking up my order:
"very nice car"
me: "thanks"
"it's a V6 I guess.."
me:"V8"
"Oh..! And YOU can afford it?!!"

Went to get my oil changed, the first thing the guy says when he returns my car. "How much do you pay for that?" and I hate when people ask me that. Then he says "...its a shame its a v6 though" and I shook my head and ignored him. Then he said "and its an automatic..c'mon man". Gotta just let it go in one ear and out the other. I'm only 20, and I love my car!

I usually don't get insults, mainly just compliments.
In the South no one really cares what it is as long as it's an American car.
I don't feel that way, but I appreciate the stares I get when I'm outside working on it

The other day a guy passed by my house when I was waxing my car (dealership did a bad job, specks and dirt in the wax.) in an FR-S. He saw me, went up the road and did a U-turn, then came back and did donuts in the church parking lot.
An FR-S was my second choice so I just gave him a thumbs up.
I haven't met anyone with a mustang hating on me, they usually just mind their business.
Our cars are a lot alike, after all.

It's nice being 16 in a camaro.
