I can see the problem right away. The truck is a Gators fan.

There is a reason why any self-insured business with professional drivers marks their facilities as a "first move front" facility. This is also typical with public utilities. One of the most statistically dangerous things you can do is back out of a parking spot. There is no need to back out of a parking spot - back in like a good driver. It also saves a ton of time since it takes half the time to back in than back out.

What is, "first move front?" Google returns a bunch of sites about chess. Your second point is debatable. I wait an equal amount of time for people backing into and out of parking spots. Subjectivity is a hell of a drug.

What is the reason for that statistical danger; is it that people are reversing where vision is limited and other vehicles (objects, etc) could potentially be out of sight?

If that's the case, backing into a spot wouldn't make it any safer... when you say "like a good driver" that would imply that anyone who is capable enough to back into a space wouldn't be as capable backing out of one?

Silly argument if you ask me.

There are no words to describe the reason people park the way those people did in the pics. None. They are both complete dumba$$'s

Seen this many times, and it even happened to me. Jealous people do this vindictively because they see that you have a mint ride and are trying to protect it. This act comes from deep seeded envy and hatred; People are mad that your ride is nicer than theirs, so they want to share some of their grief with you (also attempt to teach you a lesson).

When this same situation happened to me years ago, it was the straw and I aggressively started practicing some defense tactics for when the need for using a parking lot arises. Your best defense is common sense; Try not to be obvious that you are sensitive with your car. Park your car in far and out of site places, but don't make yourself that obvious (and do not make the mistake of taking up two spots...that could lead to key marks later). It is also a good move to park next to other well cared for and/or mint cars.

In general I avoid parking situations like this with my Sunday best, but if and when I use parking lots then I park carefully and I watch closely.
