I love my LS but very shortly after i bought it and immediately started modding it, i was already regretting not getting an SS. Not talking appearance mods but with performance mods. I know some will say go SC and came really really close to going that route but realized that would just fuel the fire and decided to hold off till I can truly upgrade to an SS, 1LE or preferably a ZL1.
On that note, if performance is not necessarily your goal then an LS is a fine model to upgrade. I have never gotten looks likeI get in this car it draws gawks/glances every time on the road.
Enjoy your ride.

I loved the 1ls I had until I traded it for an SS.

The ls is an amazing car for a great price and I had no complaints. The trim I don't understand is the lt because the idea of paying more money but not getting more motor is weird to me. I don't care about luxury at all though.

The only reason I traded is that I got a new job, bigger paycheck, and dropped an 80 mile round trip commute to work from home. If I'd stayed at the old job I'd still have the ls and I'd still love it.

Yeah, 1LS to 1LT isn't a big enough hike in goodies to be worth the money IMO. Where they get you is by limiting options. 1Lt is basically wheels and fog lights. But they offer more options for a 1LT and not an LS.

I bought a 2SS with RS because it was $24k out the door including fees, it had 24,000 miles on it, it was one of the two colors I would consider driving, and the dealership gave me $18k for my 2 year old 1ls with 35,000 miles on it and frame damage reported to carfax after I got t-boned (which I got a devaluation check for so with trade in + deval I basically got to drive an awesome car for free for 2 years).

I would have bought an SS at that price if it had been a 1ss, 2ss, 3ss, or any other ss and if it had had the rs package or not. I just wanted the motor.

Love my 2LS, added RS wheels, fog lights and no knows its a LS anymore. Only thing that bugs me is that the paddle shifters are worthless, that to me would have been worth the extra cost of the 1LT. If only I knew at the time

love my 1LS. got the 1 instead of the 2 because I preferred the stick. anyhow, looks as good as any other camaro, and personally don't care about the bells and whistles. not that the LS doesn't come with plenty of options.

I had a 1lt non RS, traded it in on a loaded out 2lt/rs vert..........ya I went with luxury and looks over 2 more cylinders. Livin in the city here in Vegas I find I really dont have a need for tge SS, but had more of a need for the droptop.
I guess I could take an SS to the track here, but I felt it isnt really worth the extra cost for it, I am rather impressed with the power and performance of the v6, and when all is said and done.......who am I racing anyways, and why race? I love the cars for all that tbey are, but being the fastest guy on the roads where there are speed limits and traffic laws makes no sense to me......

on the 14's the LS has aluminum 10 spoke wheels like the 1LT comes with so all you get now is fog lights and my link...for like 5k....

my 1LS looks like a non rs 1LT from the outside. i love my car but would really love to upgrade to a 1LE.

I sometimes fight with myself about not upgrading but then again I have to tell myself are these things I want or need. Mostly want. Foglights yes, backup camera no, My Link would have been cool but since I never had it I'm not missing it. The LT models come with those gauges by the stick doesn't it? Are they more for show, I thought they do the same thing as the normal gauges behind the wheel. Then again, at the time, an extra 5k was not something I wanted to spend either. And it's an introductory model to Camaro. So if I didn't like it, I wouldn't be spending that much.

Here's what I liked about the 2LS, 5 star safety rating, state of the art engine, and 323 hp, air conditioning and a place to hook up my Iphone to listen to music without using cd's. That's kinda what I was looking for. I admit I didn't research the trim levels properly so that's my fault.

Aren't the interior fabrics different (supposedly nicer/better) on the LT's? Thought I remember seeing something about that. And no, I don't mean leather, LOL.

Not saying that makes it worth it, just thought there were other differences as well.

they have a different cloth but at the end of the day...its cloth...

it is still not worth the money to go 1LT unless you want RS and other options. i can add rs headlights and the 4-pack gauges and still not be at the price of a 1LT non-rs, i have already added the fogs.

Only regret is not going with the 1ls instead of the 2ls other than that I love my base model car.
