For those with 1ls or 2ls.. Still happy or regretting moving up a model

Really love my LS, nice car for pretty cheap. Miss the grumble of V8 sometimes but the V6 is plenty for a DD. I also suffer from a mental ailment the sometimes creates a disconnect between my brain and right foot. This is the safer choice until I finish growing up .

Love this quote. That is exactly it. We get so caught up in numbers and speed, but where are you really going to exercise it? I have incredible awe and respect for a SS, ZL1 and Z28, but in my mind are worthless on pedestrian roads. (If you are a law abiding citizen, and have respect for human life around you) A desolate highway, drag strip or a race track is really the only place you can have fun with these incredible machines.

I was looking at a SS vs the 2LT rag top. I went with the 2LT rag top. I really don't care that I'm not 1.5 seconds faster than someone else.

When I was young and dumb, my mind couldn't comprehend why anyone would want a v6 4th gen Camaro other than girls. Now that I'm older and have paid some dues, (expensive ones at that) I see it differently.

Be happy with what you got. An '02 Camaro SS LS1 has 320 horses, you've got 323 from a 6 banger. 0-6 in 6.4 seconds is still damn fast. Pretty awesome no matter how you look at it...

Love my 1LS. I only paid $20,000 for it brand new. Spent $1500 replacing the lights and wheels. For $21,500 I got everything I wanted. Instead of paying $30,000 plus for an SS or LT with the RS package.

I too bought the LS because of a big commute I had, now that I don't have that commute, and I paid in full for the LS, I'm dying to go pick up an SS

I'm sure I'll love my LS way more once my Forgestar F14's come in though.

you also get power door locks and windows, Bluetooth, XM radio, onstar, stabilitrak, and power seats. pretty well aprotioned compated to what you usually get in a base model car. most manufactures make you buy a higher trim to get the stabilitrack (or whatever they call it), and things like bluetooth usually require a "technology" or "convenience" package. and some companies, like Toyota, and Nissan, still have manual windows on their base models.

it is still not worth the money to go 1LT unless you want RS and other options. i can add rs headlights and the 4-pack gauges and still not be at the price of a 1LT non-rs, i have already added the fogs.

How would you add the 4 pack gauges? I am assuming since we have just an empty space there (which I like to put things anyway) I assume they have to be hooked up to something somewhere. Is that an expensive mod?

$400 (a little bit less, but depends on where you shop. You just pry up the trim with a trim tool, and then plug in the gauges. And then put the new trim piece on. Very easy.

I love My 2LS, Will not change it for anything. I have upgrade a few things on it. It doesn't look like an LS. But I made sure I put the LS batch on the front so people would know it's an LS.

I have a modified SS and am still trying to figure out how to move up to a ZL1...why buy a performance icon to pose? I realize everyone has their own budget but I'd rather buy an older performance car and feel it's intent than a lesser "new" car.
