Your gonna lose money on the trade. No way around that. Couple grand. My guess anywhere in between 5k-10k if not more. Question is, how bad do you want it?

You want more power for the little V6? Throw a IPF supercharger on it, then you'll keep up with the SS members, and get better gas mileage. unless you live in California.

Hmmm. The 2SS wasn't enough power for me when I got it. But I knew I was going to mod it out- thats why I started with that model. Sounds like you just made the wrong choice altogether. If you can afford it, the sooner you get what you want, the better.

Pretty tough situation you have there. You are paying and driving a car everyday with regrets. I say trade in now with lesser mileage than waiting a year and putting more miles on the car which means less trade-in value. You are going to lose both ways anyways. Either way, I would do it now as I would not want to be paying and driving a car that I don't even like.

Then renegotiate a fresh contract for your new vehicle. Chances are the dealership will charge you the difference of new vehicle vs old. Go to Kelly Blue Book for USA or Canadian Black Book to get an appraisal for your vehicle. If your dealership is trying to rip you off. Private sell your vehicle based on the appraisal price. Then pay off your financing from the dealership. Or find someone who is willing to pick up the financing from where you left off. |
