Maybe another dumb question but after researching the ZL1 since 2012, what are the big differences in changes?

Yup 12 no my link 13 my link and 14 dumbass tail lights, and stupid 3/4 rear bumper diffuser, but recaro and color hud.

Wow another thread where people need to comment on 2014 tail lights.
Who saw that coming?  Just because they changed them from being an old Corvette rip-off to more reflect first Gen Camaro doesn't make them bad. Personally I didn't buy a fifth gen until they got the damn tail lights correct.
