2014 ZL1 rear diffusor is more effective with aerodynamics compared to the older versions and creates better downforce, so it is not only looks all the time.

As for the tail lights, it is a personal preference. Personally I like the 14 tail lights over the old ones, as they just look very "old" and tacky to me. They look very low quality when you look at them. The new tail lights gives the car a better quality appearance and more elegant look according me personally. You might think completely different. You just have to see it for yourself.

The 14 ZL1 also has the color HUD (Heads Up Display).
It also has a upgraded supercharger as the earlier ones had issues (covered by extended warranty though).

That's about what I know

2012 --- 11.87 1/4th (factory info w/ auto)
2013 --- 12.04 1/4th (+75lbs -- new std equip)
2014 --- 12.08 1/4th (+33 lbs -- new std equip -- color hud, bigger tailights, housings, etc)

Lets see who bites on this intended argument - they must be adding weight as they go resulting in slightly slower trap speeds -- just for hoots folks..

Yea, I like 2013 better.
Yes I have a 13 and 14. The 14 tail lights look like all other cars out there and no LEDs so yes dumb as tail tights and I have them.

13 is still the best year. I have a 13 ZL1 and a 14 Z28. I do not like the tail lights on the 14s. So a tail light recommendation from me would not be biased.

Almost all cars out there have the same tail lights. If you see a 12 or 13 you can tell right off it is a Camaro.

I like the 12-13 much better and that was a major motivator in my buy a 13 while I could. I'm wrapping up construction of a new house and really didn't want to buy until 2015. Also like functionality of the radio, etc

Just go have a look in real life on a '13 and '14 and go with what YOU think is YOUR choice

Don't listen to what we think about design now that you know what differs technically etc.

You need it! You want it! Now have your breakfast and GO get that ZL1!
