Hesitation during Acceleration 2010 Camaro V6

Has anyone else had issues with acceleration hesitation? Off and on I will try to accelerate and nothing happens. I have to take my foot off the accelerator and when I press down again there will be an increase in speed. This usually happens while the car is already moving and I decide I would like to go faster.

Usually the rpm gauge does not move when it is hesitating. Yesterday it was hesitating and the rpm gauge shot up to 6.5 but there was no increase in actual speed. Any ideas?

If your rpm goes to redline with no speed increase I would have the dealer take a look.. Sounds like it might be slipping... We had a Subaru that did this so badly sometimes it wouldn't move from a stop sign we put JB transmission stop slip in it and never had another problem

What you are describing is something usual with the V6 that happens from time to time. I modified my V6 and I can tell you that porting the Intake Manifold and installing the isolators will help eliminating this problem but not completely.

I guess this is the way the V6 drives overall.

The RPM needle shooting up to 6.5 and no movement is definitely not normal. When it shot up, did you actually hear the engine rev as well, or did the needle just move?

In either case, its a problem. If your engine is reving, the car is in gear, and not moving, you should probably take that car to a dealer.
