Garda Lake Internation Meeting 2014

Given the success of Lake Garda International Meeting 2013, there were 2014 again a big meeting with visiting on the track in Modena.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE RACETRACK

The new Autodromo Modena is applied with slight differences in height, which makes the track for both cars and motorcycles interesting.

The curves are challenging, some slowly, others quickly, such as the wide sweeping curve to the finish line.

We have already tested the route and had a lot of fun!

Length of the track: 2.007 m
Length of straight: 480 m
Minimum width 12 m
Large security areas, paved or gravel
Pit lane with 21 boxes, fully equipped, also with WiFi

"We wanted to impress you with special effects and we may say we did it." This is the phrase that best sums up this meeting during which we celebrated 15 years of foundation of our Club
Despite the uncertain weather of the previous days, we had a summer weather: sunny, warm and the blue sky looking like fake, it was so beautiful.
To complete the picture, a swarm of 110 Corvette and Camaro, this year with a clear predominance of the first ones.
The official beginning of the rally was Saturday 17th May, but already Friday night we organized a dinner to meet lots of foreigners who had already arrived in Italy. British, Swedish, Finns, Germans, Austrians, Swiss, Slovaks, Dutch and, of course, Italians, have participated in what has been for years the most important international Corvette & Camaro event in Italy.
On Saturday morning, starting from Peschiera Del Garda, we reached the Modena Autodrome, exclusively reserved for our club. Once there, the cars entered the track forming a colorful snake that with the background of the clear and blue sky gave the impression of being a rainbow.
Completed the check in, we started the laps in the track as planned and the roar of the V8 resounded in the air like a concert conducted by the best orchestra conductor.
A party where we could achieve the desires that are not allowed on the road, all in complete safety.
In the evening, dinner in the Peschiera Del Garda with our cars parked in reserved place by the edge of the lake, at the disposal of tourists crowding the already numerous charming town. Awarding of drivers with the delivery of beautiful cups specially made for the occasion.
Sunday came, with a riot!
We filled Piazza Sordello in Mantova, the parlor of the city, with cars and people come to enjoy such beauty with the addition of some very special icing on the cake, that is, exclusively brought to us by our friend Mandy , a beautiful Convertible Corvette C7, first C7 running on track in Europe and a beautifully restored Corvette C2 property of our friend Daniel Vettoretti and finally, the passage around our car of the 1000 Miglia Edition 2014.
Honestly, we could not do better!
At 11.00, we all walked to the the Navi Andes pier where, moored and decked out beautifully, there was their most beautiful ship: the Andes 2000, exclusively reserved for our club. We set off for a cruise, but shortly after the trip was stopped for the most unexpected surprise of the meeting. Reached the bow in the direction of Gonzaga Palace and Castel San Giorgio, the anchor was thrown, and the notes of a Bryan Adams song - Everything I Do (I Do It For You), resounded in the air and those present wondered what was going on. It was just a moment to understand: from the steps of the stern a figure dressed in an unequivocal manner appeared. Blonde and wrapped in a red dress holding a bouquet, what could this mean? yes, Alessandra dressed as a bride and Valter from the heading of the boat reaching her, encircled and accompanied by two wings of friends amazed and excited and the captain who, as an civilian officer on board, in the presence of witnesses, celebrated what all the presents have defined a fairytale wedding.
The ship resumed sailing through Lake Superior, the Lower, the Mincio Park and, after passing the water elevator, Governolo, where we reached the waters of the Po
On board, after an infinite number of surprises, including the celebration of the birthday of our President Luigi Panto and a great lunch, we went back, enjoying beautiful views especially around Mantova area.
