Just an FYI for the OP, there are cam configs available pushing out very good power and sound almost stock.

I can tell you right now it doesn't get more stock sounding than a GT11 cam. I will see if I can find and post my idle video. You can barely tell the car is running, seriously. (This is in no way endorsing that cam if you want a sleeper cam. It's made on LSK lobes and I would recommend against it for any street driven LSx.) Unless it's a GM cam, pretty much any aftermarket cam is going to increase the volume of the exhaust. It might not increase much at idle or have a lope but the decibel level will for sure go up especially at WOT.

Need quieter exhaust

Same here. American Racing LT headers/high flow catted XPip with American Racing exhaust. VR Stage 2 cam with whipple supercharger. Very quote at idle(almost too quite) but at full throttle sounds like the wrath of god striking down on earth. Very very loud and can be heard miles away

I personally wouldn't worry about changing mufflers ect, as you will properly then think its too quiet ..You have a stereo in the car, turn it up

That's not him being foolish... he was misinformed on the sound that particular setup would produce and is now trying to remedy the problem. Foolish would be to run open headers with 5% tint and hope not to attract attention.
Oh, excuse me... TOO much attention.

As stated, the Magnaflow Street series cat-back Part # 16579 or adding the Resonated X pipe Part # 11386 to your stock system will be a good option. The Street series system is very tame, but is still deep and sounds great with headers.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help!

Best regards,

Tyler

If you're just here to make condescending remarks, flex your authority muscles, and argue with other forum posters who are trying to provide meaningful responses than perhaps you should just refrain from posting altogether. Perhaps go 'conquer the world' somewhere else.
