Very nice. Be awesome to have some sort of heads up when they depart the plant/warehouse/whereever they might be nowish.

Assuming this shipping decision coincides with a shortage of enclosed carrier trucks, this explains the "delay." But delay is only relative to how long it would take to ship a Z/28 in comparison to if it were shipped by railcar. So, delay per se has never been on my radar, as I don't even know the typical time it would take a Camaro to reach a Southern California dealer if shipped by rail.

What has always bothered me is:

1. The lack of accurate vehicle "tracking" information when such information is promised through Chevrolet's own website. This website, in fact, has been and remains a prime source of inaccurate tracking information. If you don't want to field/hear/read complaints about vehicle tracking, then don't put up an official website that pretends to offer vehicle tracking. And;

2. No official explanation has been provided, at least by my dealer, as to how and why cars built weeks after mine (as well as others here) are in the hands of owners, while our cars still sit in Canada. At some point the "your car is in QC" position becomes untenable and fades to black. To continue to repeat it is to insult the customer.

there are alot of z/28's sitting outside of the GM plant in Oshawa. I have pictures I will upload tonight. The big thing that pisses me off, is that they are mixed in with all the other camaros, I think they should be in a different location, put in a QC area and shipped quicker, seeing the price difference.

The biggest problem with this is the increased chance for fallout in the paint. I don't know how much of the paint is covered by plastic film from the factory -- as I recall it's just on the areas more prone to contact and damage during the loading/unloading process?

Now it's getting redonkulous. My vin 59 has gone from "Shipped/Enroute" to "At the Dealership", back to "Production Complete" to "Shipped/Enroute" this morning. What a joke of a tracking system. All this week.

Wow, congratulations! You must have the speed record for build to delivery. There are cars built two months ago still sitting at the factory. Enjoy.
