I have ran a catch can the second year I bought my car, taken it off, the back on again. Last year I didn't even use one at all and I was over 600 rwhp, and I have a lot of 140+ mph pulls etc. I finally put one back on, our cars have decent evac setups so I wouldn't even be scared to keep the can off. Your car is fine even if you have a little oil in the intake built up, I'm sure it's less than you think. Also hit mike up on the sea foam, but I wouldn't put that through my motor.

The carbon build up on the valves for the SS isn't as bad as it is for the v6. Since the v8 isn't direct injection the fuel helps keep them relatively clean. In the v6 since it is direct injection the valves don't come into contact with fuel so they can get serious carbon build up if not taken care of (catch can, upper induction cleaning). If you are hesitant about seafoam you can always do nitrous, that cleans everything right up haha

Best post of the year. So let's add nitrous Kevin to your car.

First don't ask me to post pic of dyno sheet. Far as I'm concerned the dyno went great. First pull Max Power =340.04 Max Torque = 343.33
Third Pull Max power = 351.91 Max Torque = 365.48
Had them eliminate Fuel Management. No more drone smoothed right out.
No need to use Sport Mode all the time now. & only using up to 5th gear until I get to a higher speed so I don't have the luging. Surprised the hell out of me got on the thruway put in drive hit the traction button for the first time mashed the pedal & all hell whipped my neck. And I know I don't have the power like you guys. But I love the difference. I 4 got not totally a great day. Pulling into I Hop Shaped like the letter S for the entrance cop coming out when I was already in the entrance. Moved a little left curb rash 8 inches in the left side of splitter. Camaro Nationals coming up if not fixed I probably will cancel.

Spike glad the car is running great, but sorry about the splitter.

AFM drove me nuts in my Silverado, the driving manners of it had me looking to get rid of it in two weeks after getting it, bought a unit that plugs into the OBDII port, blocks the 4 cylinder mode, leaves no trace when unplugged!!!!! Now I love my truck.
